I like using Deep Cut mode, but it frequently plays songs I've thumbed up. I often am interested in fleshing out a Collection by adding less popular tracks from artists in my Collection. So what if there was a mode that would only play tracks that you've not thumbed? Kind of a combination of Deep Cuts and Discovery would be great. That way you know that every song is basically ready for a decision.

Firstly, Chrome and Edge both play eventually, with the same delay. I can start timing it if it matters. My computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad L13 i710510U w/ 8GB RAM. That said, I've been listening to Pandora for many, many years and older PCs never exhibited this issue. I notice no delay on the Android App when coming back after a while and hitting play.

After testing more with Chrome, I discovered that it does eventually play, but can take a while: Nearly a minute. So it just always seems unresponsive and is faster to refresh completely. I'll test more with Edge to see if the delay is the same.

I have to correct myself: I switched to Edge for Pandora a while back, not Chrome. I'll test with Chrome today, but Edge is currently Version 128.0.2739.79 (Official build) (64-bit). So for that, the issue has been relevant for at LEAST six months conservatively and I auto-update. There's no error message, just looks exactly like you press paused. It's just the play button does nothing. I could take a screenshot, but if you play anything and hit pause: That's the screen. I can dive into DevTools and see if there's an error popping up in console next time.

I've just worked around this for a while, but it's plenty annoying. If I pause my music, lock the computer, and am gone long enough for the screen to shut off (maybe?), the play button no longer responds and I have to refresh the browser to play music again. I'm not 100% certain what might trigger this issue, as perhaps it's something to do with a CPU state, but regardless, it's very consistent and repeatable. Not sure if anyone else can confirm, but this issue seems to be resolved now. Tested with both of my vehicles almost daily after I noticed it seemed fixed about two weeks ago.

The timing was a red herring. I just had a song that I'd paused on my phone at 0:33 when getting out of my car this morning. I just opened a new tab (now about 5 hours later), navigated to pandora.com and the song started at 3:05.

I wasn't really paying that much attention. I can tell you for sure it's not song specific and probably not station specific. I can't test today because I had to force stop Pandora after exiting my car (there's a whole thread on that issue) so I don't know when it 'stopped'. I'll try and pay attention more to see if I can provide additional details.

I don't believe this is a browser-specific issue. It happens to me frequently on Chrome and Edge. I noticed today that when I was listing to Pandora on my phone on my way to work, I paused at 3:05. Then I plugged in my laptop, settled in, and hit play on Pandora. After nothing happened (this is a new issue, but separate) I refreshed the page. The song that came up started AROUND 3:05. I wasn't really paying attention that closely but it MAY be a correlation, even if the songs are entirely different. Is anyone else who is experiencing this issue listening on multiple devices?

Rather than uninstall, you should be able to force stop the app. Long press app icon > circled i in top right > Force Stop. I did further testing and nearly everything else works in app except thr ability to affect the music playing when my car disconnects.

Rather than rebooting your phone, you can just Force Stop the app. I did find that sometime when the play button stops responding like you're experiencing, the thumbs still work. If you can thumb up (even if already thumbed up) it MIGHT enable the pausing from your phone. I only figured that out yesterday so not much testing. Still really inconvenient, but a possible alternative.

I've tested this in both Chrome and Edge and using InPrivate as well. I changed my password recently and now, if I click my profile circle in the top right and choose "Community" whilst on the www subdomain (rather than help. or community.) I have confirmed that hitting replay will then correctly show the 'thumb status' on songs that are being effected. My example just now was Lorde's "Glory and Gore" on my "Normal" station which exhibited this issue.

I am not using Shuffle mode... in fact, it took me a while to even figure out how to do that just now. I'll pay attention on the alternative item and see if replaying the song highlights the thumb.

I have a station that was created in 2010. Over the past couple of months, I've been noticing songs that I know were thumbed up or down not displaying a thumb rating. At first I thought it was a random glitch. Then I thought perhaps they were remastered versions or on a Greatest Hits album or something. But the sheer number of missing thumbs leads me to believe that they're just... gone. Anyone else experience this?

No thank you. That's easy, if not unexpected behavior. Perhaps my only ask is for a feature consideration to allow artists to be used for the basis of multiple stations to mitigate this issue.

@AdamPandora That... works, but then can I turn it into a collection? So, for example, I started a station with Orgy and I play that in Artist Only mode. That way I can easily thumbs up/down songs of theirs, but it plays all tracks. With Gordon Lightfoot (quite the contrast, eh?) I can't create a station of him and run in Artist Only mode. So while you're right: The method you suggested does what I asked, I didn't realize there was a non-collection/station option that would lack the thumbs. Is the only way to do that to remove Gordon from my "Easy Listening" Station so that I can start a new station from him? It seems that's the limitation here: Only one station can be created from an artist. Is that accurate? I do appreciate your help!
