Make sure you love your craft the road is different for everyone but if you
love your craft when things get hard itll make the hard times bearable.

Couldn't agree more to treat your creative endeavor as a craft rather than a hobby. Put the time in, learn as much as you can, experiment, get frustrated, try again. And find a mentor if at all possible to help you navigate through and around some of the common pitfalls.

Work with people and collaborate with friends because he will always be inspired and learn how to do things in an exciting way that can intrigue and engage audiences.

@Maxywaxywell - i love that! i agree, it's best to work with friends and support them in your local music scene. everyone builds each other up and collectively grows.  the best music scenes develop not from random people moving to whichever city has all the buzz but where friends hone their craft - year over year - and support each other.
