Which song feels like your most authentic creation?

Weโ€™d love to hear the story behind it and why itโ€™s so meaningful to you.

I would say one of my most personal releases is a song called, โ€œThe Spirit Lying Dormant.โ€ Itโ€™s about connecting with a person who wakes you up to the parts of yourself that you have either put on hold or allowed to fade into the background. This person sees your true spirit and encourages you to be your true self.

Hi @LouHeffernan, thank you for sharing the meaning behind your release.

It's a blessing to have one or more people around us who help us see sides of ourselves that we didn't know we had and who also allow us to be free.

Many of us will undoubtedly enjoy your release.

Hey Pandora fam!

This song is definitely my most introspective one: https://pandora.app.link/9ZBTpYktfYb

I usually try to avoid my feelings, but for this one, I decided to dive into them. This song is about my struggles with a chronic illness (SLE Lupus), and how no one could ever tell that I am always pretending to be ok despite how much pain I'm always in ๐Ÿ˜›

(I'm ok enough lol, don't worry ๐Ÿ’ช).

This is a tough one to answer with over 100 releases. For today, I'll go with "Wreckless". After all, I'm working on a folksong version of this to release on an upcoming album, so it must have a place my soul.

When I first wrote this song in the early 2000s, it was my reaction to all the wars and trouble in the world. I thought it was the worst that could ever happen. It gave my insides a way to say, "I got to express myself."

Then, I got the surprise of my country and the world getting even worse. That's what inspired me to make it my song again.

The album "How to Rise and Keep Rising" is coming in a few months.

Thanks if you read all the way through. I'll be checking out some of the other posts in this thread.

All the best,
Stan Stewart
