Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the song notifications on your Galaxy.
The notification behavior you’re describing is controlled at the Android/Samsung OS level, rather than by a setting within the Pandora app. Pandora itself does not have a setting that generates a separate notification each time a song changes.
Since you recently upgraded to a Galaxy S26, there’s may be additional Samsung notification settings to check on. Newer Samsung Galaxy devices can display ongoing media activity through Live notifications and the Now bar, even when other notifications for an app have been turned off.
Please try the following:
- Open your phone’s Settings.
- Tap Lock screen and AOD.
- Tap Now bar.
- Tap View more under Live notifications.
- If Pandora appears in the list, toggle it Off.
If Pandora isn’t listed there, or you continue to receive a notification when the song changes, return to the Now bar settings and try turning Media player off as well. Keep in mind that turning off Media player may also remove Pandora’s playback controls from the Now bar or lock screen.
Samsung may change the names or location of these settings depending on the Android or One UI version installed on your phone. If the options above don’t match what you see on your Galaxy S26, I recommend reaching out to Samsung Support for the specific steps to manage media playback notifications on your device.
