Playback suddenly stops

I'm having a problem with my Pandora. I open the app, pick a song, as it's playing about a minute into the song it will suddenly stop playing the current song. And when I go back in the app it's restarting and a new song comes on. I have tried different playlists and logging out and back in. Same problem. mod edit: changing title for clarity

Song stops after about 30 seconds of playing. I forward to the next song, and the same thing happens. Every song, same thing happens.

@dtrankina I moved your post to this thread since you are running into a similar issue.

Try running through the troubleshooting steps listed here.

If you continue to experience issues with this, please reply back with the following:

  • Does the app crash? Meaning, you have to reopen the app?
  • Does playback stop? You have to press play again to resume playback?
  • Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?

Thanks for working with us on this. 🤝

**UPDATE**

Ensure Pandora is not classified in the "Sleeping Apps" section of your Android device. This fixed my issue, remove Pandora from Sleeping Apps. Running for 10 minutes now. Battery saver mode is enabled to maximum, still with no issues.

I'm having the same problem.  I have done all the troubleshooting.  I might have to cancel my subscription.  It's irritating

@Dolfanpete Can you tell me a little bit more about what is happening?

  • Does the app crash? Meaning, you have to reopen the app?
  • Does playback stop? You have to press play again to resume playback?
  • Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?

Additionally, can you send over a bit more info about your device?

  • Model:
  • Carrier:
  • Android version (Settings > About Phone):
  • Build number (Settings > About Phone):
  • Android Security Patch Level, if noted on your device (Settings > About Phone):
  • Pandora version:
    • If you can open Pandora, go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number.
    • If you can't open Pandora: from Android Home screen > Android Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find Pandora

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

Let me know what you can find out.
