Pandora Update: 12/17/25
Hi All!
Thanks for your patience!
We believe this has been resolved with the latest update of Pandora, 2510.1.1. Please update to this version and try Pandora again. If you’re still having trouble afterward, let me know!
Hi @Sundaetea
Welcome to community! Sorry for any trouble with Pandora when connected to your Android Auto.
We believe this was the result of a recent app update, while we investigate further, we've made a change to allow users to install the previous app version, 2509.1.
If you're still having trouble, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to return to the previous app version.
You can reinstall Pandora from the Google Play Store using this link.
If you’d like more general guidance on uninstalling apps on Android, you can also review this article.
Please note: Pandora Premium and Premium Family listeners may need to re-download some offline content after reinstalling the app. Pandora Plus listeners should receive offline content automatically.
So mine has been stuck like this for weeks. Yet I still have to pay for a streaming service that's virtual useless due to app updates. This fix is a failure because it keeps automatically updating to the useless version. When will this be fixed?
I'm having the same issue. I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee L. It was working fine a week ago, but now Pandora, in my car, won't allow me to change to online.
What is the fix for this? I just started having this same problem.
Hi @MidThrust
I created a new post for you since the thread you replied to is quite old, and the issue discussed there may not be the same one you’re experiencing now.
Could you tell me a bit more about what’s happening? Are you being automatically switched into Offline Mode when connecting to Android Auto?
In the meantime, please let me know the following:
Pandora version
Android OS version
Thanks for your help!
Same problem with Android Auto. I'll try your solution, but please make this a priority fix!
Phone: Galaxy S21
Andriod version 15
Pandora version 2510.1
When I connect to Android Auto it automatically loads into offline mode when I have service. (Does not happen every time) I have to force close Pandora, disconnect my phone, turn off blue tooth and restart my phone. I am unable to just click "online mode" in the Pandora app.

Was this ever resolved? Because this happens with me too. I *never* used to go to Offline mode but lately it goes to Offline mode EVERY time I'm in my car and I can't make it go online.
Hi @MidThrust
Thanks for the follow up!
So, I believe you're being affected by the recent app update, 2510.1. Our teams are investigating further, in the meantime, we've made a change to allow listeners to install the previous app version, 2509.1. This should help to resolve starting out in Offline Mode.
Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to return to the previous app version and try again.
While I haven't been provided a timeline for a fix, please be on the look out for future releases as this is likely how this will be addressed.
Please note that uninstalling and reinstalling will remove your offline content, and you'll have to download content for offline listening once again.
Hope this helps!
Hi @Doohickie
Welcome to community!
I created a new post for your since the original message was from a couple of years ago. While it appears to be the same experience, this is related to a different issue.
Based on the information you posted, I believe you may be affected by a recent app date, 2510.1. Our teams are currently investigation, but in the meantime, we've made a chance to allow listeners to install the previous app version - 2509.1.
I recommend trying to uninstall and reinstall the app to return to the previous app version and trying Pandora once again. Please note though, that this will remove offline content and you'll have to download that content once again.
While I haven't been provided a timeline for a fix, please be on the look out for future updates, ans this is likely how this issue will be addressed.
Hope this helps!
@Pandora, I seem to be having this exact issue. I have cleared my storage and it still does it.
