I have an Eonon car stereo (GMX6S), which is basically a special 12V Android tablet that's installed in the dashboard of my car. It runs Android 13. It has a SIM card that gives it it's own internet data connection (no cell phone required). When it runs the Pandora app, I start it up, start playing some music and then switch to the other apps... while I'm in the other apps (Torque gauges, Google Maps, E85 FlexFuel tuner, etc.) Pandora continues to play, but eventually it stops responding and then Android displays a message asking if it should exit the app or wait (usually when I'm on the gauges display). To work around the issue, I use Android Auto (which doesn't have the same problem), but of course, that clobbers my cell phone battery and data; I'd rather have it run the app directly from the head unit (which is the head unit's intended design). Does anyone else have any experience in getting the Pandora app to run in the background smoothly on an Eonon head unit?

Hi @obiwan_genx
Welcome to community!
Since your Eonon runs on a version of Android OS it should work relatively well. Before reaching out have you tried clearing the app data or cache for the Pandora app? If not, let's give that a try.
Typically, this can be done with the following steps, but these steps can slightly vary depending on the Android OS:
I would also recommend checking any battery optimization/saving settings for your Eonon. The OS may be trying to optimize apps that are running in the background which may cause playback issues.
Similar to the clearing app data/cache, these steps may vary depending on your Android OS:
Hopefully that helps!
