I have it set to start automatically on Android Auto but it doesn't. I had no trouble a couple of weeks ago but now when I turn on my car, Pandora says "tap to open". I wouldn't mind that at all but I shuffle my music and there is absolutely no way of doing that on Android Auto. Is it a bug or an I missing something?
So frustrated!
Android version 16
Phone is Samsung Galaxy S25
Pandora version 2609.2
Android Auto version 17.7.663654-release
Same issue that started occurring about a month ago.
There was an update available this evening, so I installed it (version 2609.2); hopefully the issue is resolved 🤞 I'll post what happens when I go out tomorrow.
NO GOOD!!
First start-up of the day, I had to select the station. Second start-up (after about an hour), the station resumed, but 10 minutes later, on the third start-up, the station failed to resume and required to be selected again. **ahem** Pandora??!!??
I'm having the exact same issue. Pandora used to play automatically upon Android Auto startup and now it just sits there until I tap on it and go through the menus to start playing. This started one to two months ago. If I leave the car for a few minutes and come back, it'll start up automatically but if I leave it overnight or for a more extended period of time, it will not start automatically. I have all of the requisite settings set correctly, including giving Pandora battery permission to run in the background.
The phone is a Pixel 9 Pro. The car is a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5.
It looks like Pandora support has abandoned us but I'm choosing to post in here anyway to encourage as many other people with this problem to post also. Maybe support will finally pay attention if enough people complain.
Update: so yesterday I posted that it's been working for 4 days. I recently got into an accident and took my car in yesterday so now I have a rental. Kia k5. IT DOESN'T WORK! Was it an update on my Ford escape that made it work? Now I won't know if it still works or not until I get my car back ☹️
