We all need to be encouraged from time to time, I will try my utmost to post a word of encouragement for each day for us to have with us throughout our day. I hope this will help not only myself but for you as well.
sometimes we all need to be reminded of what is more important in our lives. Today reflect on those who you love, and those who love you.
Have a great day and a great weekend. Take care dear friend and stay safe.
Someone dear to me and wise beyond her years once said "your worst day sober will still be better than your best day under the influence". Hope this helps someone.
@Auen1 a very powerful and yet very true statement...Thank you for sharing that great word of encouragement...It will be a bright spot for someone, I'm sure...
Thank you for sharing. Take care and GOD bless...
Good Thursday morning, dear friend... I have had some very near and dear people in my life that struggled with addiction...And this is what I found to be true, because I myself struggled with alcohol for a while, but thanks be to GOD, I have not had any alcoholic drink for 17 years this December. So if you are one of those who are struggling, you are not alone, my friend...
🎭 “The scariest thing isn’t sobriety—it’s forgetting who you are.”
Sobriety is often portrayed as a daunting mountain to climb—full of discomfort, vulnerability, and emotional reckoning. But what’s truly terrifying isn’t the climb… It’s the erosion of identity that happens when we’re under the influence.
Loss of self-awareness: When substances cloud the mind, we lose touch with our values, our dreams, and even our sense of humor. The person we once were becomes a stranger. Even those we love become strangers to us.
Emotional numbness: Instead of feeling joy, sorrow, or connection, everything gets dulled. We stop recognizing our own reactions, and that emotional disconnection can feel like a haunting.
Broken reflections: Looking in the mirror and not recognizing the person staring back—that’s a horror story no ghost could rival.
Missed moments: Under the influence, we often miss the very memories that define us—birthdays, conversations, creative sparks. Sobriety isn’t just clarity; it’s reclaiming those moments.
False personas: Sometimes, we adopt a version of ourselves that’s performative or reactive, shaped by the substance rather than authenticity. That mask can be hard to remove.
In contrast, sobriety—even on its hardest days—offers the chance to remember. To reconnect. To rebuild. It’s not just about abstaining; it’s about rediscovering the person you were always meant to be. Fighting to stay sober is the greatest battle you will ever face, but in the end, you will start recognizing the person you have always been, a fighter that is living a life worth living because you have something to offer in this world. Addiction steals your self-worth and true identity. Don't let it, fight it.
Have a blessed day, friend. Take care and GOD bless.
Good Thursday evening, dear friend. Here is something I would like to share with you. I hope it positively touches you.
“The Summit”
I once stood in valleys veiled in mist, where shadows whispered, and dreams were missed. The bottle sang with a siren’s voice, but every sip stole a sacred choice.
I wandered far from who I’d been, A stranger housed beneath my skin. Laughter faded, mirrors lied, and even hope had learned to hide.
But somewhere deep, a spark remained— A flicker fierce, though faintly pained. It whispered, “Rise,” though I was low, and pointed where the brave ones go.
So I climbed through storms and silent nights, through aching truths and inner fights—each sober step, a prayer, a plea, to find the soul God meant for me.
Now I stand where eagles soar, not perfect, but so much more. The summit isn’t just the height— It’s seeing self in morning light.
So if you’re lost or feel undone, know this path is not for one. We climb together, hand in hand, toward the life that still can stand. For 17 years, I can proudly say it has been GOD who has helped me stand.
Have a blessed night, take care, and GOD bless.
You know, He does. Just ask Him. John 3:16-17
Good Thursday morning, dear friend. Here is something I want you to know about YOU.
Sometimes the things people criticize in you have nothing to do with your worth and everything to do with what they feel they lack. What they hate in you is often the very thing that’s missing in them—your confidence, your light, your resilience, your ability to rise.
So don’t shrink. Don’t dim. Don’t apologize for the gifts that make you who you are. Stand tall in your truth. Shine anyway. And remember: their discomfort is not your burden to carry. You are enough, exactly as you are.
“What they hate in you is missing in them.”
Have a blessed day. Take care, and GOD bless.
Good Friday afternoon, dear friend. I want to share a screenshot I took from a YouTube video. It touched my heart, and so I want to share this powerful message with you.
“There are days when words don’t come easily, when life feels overwhelming, or when we freeze under the weight of the moment. But kindness has a way of opening doors that pressure never will. Today, choose patience. Choose gentleness. Someone may find their voice because you waited long enough to hear it.”
Have a blessed day, and a wonderful weekend. Take care, and GOD bless.
That is verry encouraging! @MOHLovesAlaska Thank you for sharing.😊
Good Monday evening, dear friend. Allow me to ask you this, dear friend. Are you feeling down, depressed, discouraged, unseen, unnoticed, unworthy, or even useless? Allow me to remind you, my friend, just how VERY IMPORTANT you are.
Before you ever took a breath, before anyone spoke your name, you were already known. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.” Think about that. The God who shaped galaxies — billions upon billions of them — the One who calls the stars by name and loses not a single one (Isaiah 40:26) also thought of you. The God who commands galaxies knew your name before your parents did. That means your existence is intentional. Your presence is purposeful. Your life is not random. So silence the voices that try to shrink you. Step out of the shadows they cast.
You matter. You are here on purpose. And your purpose is needed now.
Have a blessed night, dear friend. Take care, and GOD bless.
Thanks for continuing to spread your positivity in the community.
Hope you're having a nice week so far, @MOHLovesAlaska. ✨☀️
