Chrome: Music overlay with static

Robyn098

It's on my desk top.  Windows, on Google chrome.  It will play music for a few minutes then go to static.  There is no difference with the look of the site.

@Robyn098 I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with playback on your computer. I understand how frustrating it must be to have your music interrupted by static after only a few minutes of listening.

I'd be happy to help investigate this further.

To get a better understanding of what's happening, could you please provide a few additional details?

  1. Does this happen only when listening through Google Chrome, or have you experienced the same issue with other browsers? If you haven't already, please try listening to Pandora using another browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Firefox, and let me know if the issue persists.

  2. What are you listening to when this happens? For example, are you listening to a station, album, playlist, or podcast? Does the issue occur with everything you listen to, or only specific content?

  3. When the static begins, does the music stop playing entirely, or can you still hear the music underneath the static?

  4. Are you seeing any error messages when this happens? If so, please let me know exactly what they say.

In the meantime, I also recommend trying the steps outlined in our Chrome Troubleshooting guide, as they may help resolve the issue.

Once you've had a chance to try these steps, please let me know if you continue to experience the same behavior.

Thanks for your patience, and I look forward to hearing back!
