Chrome: Songs Paused and Never Play

Any idea why my desktop Pandora site hasn't been able to play a single song for about a week? It is stuck as if a song is paused every time I open it, and the "play" button actually skips songs and goes to the next. It's a never-ending cycle as the next song just shows as paused and will not actually play even a few seconds of the song?
I use Chrome (and have for several years) and my phone app is working just fine if that matters!

• Does the timer continue when this happens? As if the song is still playing? 
• Do you receive any error messages when this occurs? If so, what exactly does it say?
