Android: Playback stops and play button becomes unresponsive

Just stopped working for me a couple days ago, removed the app, re-installed it, cleared all the data, etc etc.  I've restarted my phone, it'll work a little while then stop suddenly.  Press the play button, nothing happens.  Are you guys even supporting your app anymore?  Update?  What's going on, still with you after many years but if it won't work I won't be for much longer.  Don't want to have to build up a streaming collection on another app, please fix this

Same problem here, playback stops suddenly and then the play button doesn't do anything.  Have to restart the phone to get it to start playing again.  Happened twice on my 30 minute commute this morning.  Been about a week or two now of this problem.  I've tried all the suggested fixes including uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  Please help!

@Mathinabox Sorry to hear about the trouble.

Could you explain what's happening in more detail? The more information you can provide, the better I can help.

When this issue occurs:

  • Are you listening to a station, album, playlist, or podcast?
  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data?
    •  If using Wi-Fi, are you able to recover the listening session by toggling Wi-Fi off?
  • Are you using a Bluetooth connection?

Additionally, please provide your device model, Android OS, One UI (if on Samsung), and Pandora app versions:

  • Model:
  • Android version (Settings > About Phone > Android version):
  • One UI version: (Settings > About Phone > Software information):
  • Pandora version (Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find Pandora):

Thanks for your help!

I use a Samsung Galaxy fe24. I put my stations on shuffle while I'm driving so it would be on cellular

@Mathinabox To clarify, when you are streaming Pandora in your car, are you connected via bluetooth?

In the meantime, I've enabled a trace on your account to help us better understand what's happening.

For this trace to be useful, we'll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps once more: Troubleshooting for Android Devices

Let me know how it goes.
