Hi there, @sdavisimpala. 👋

I do see that you have an open case with our team via email.

  • Does this happen when you're playing albums, individual songs, playlists, or using your stations?
  • Have you noticed any error messages when this occurs?
  • Lastly, which is your preferred way of listening? Using a web browser? If so, which one?
  • Or, do you prefer the Pandora Desktop App for Windows or MAC computers?

Let me know. 🎧

omg this is so annoying. i have tried all browser platforms. all of them stop playing after about 3 minutes of play then i have to hit next button to next song. it just repeats like this over and over. there has been no big changes to my comp.

i prefer using the downloaded app instead of using browser

@sdavisimpala Sorry for the the frustration.

Could you please clarify more about what you're listening to when this happens?

Does this happen when you're playing albums, individual songs, playlists, or using your stations?

Troubleshooting:

In the meantime, I've included troubleshooting steps for browsers and the desktop app below. I would recommend trying the steps for your preferred method of listening.

Since this issue occurs across multiple platforms, it may be helpful to do some network troubleshooting as well.

Let's try rebooting your connection:

  1. Shut down your device completely;
  2. Unplug your modem and router, wait one full minute, and then plug them back in;
  3. Wait five more minutes to allow the modem and router to fully boot back up;
  4. Turn your device back on and try Pandora again.

If Pandora still isn't working, could you check if you're able to connect to your network using another streaming service, such as YouTube?

I am a Premium member, and have been for 15+ years...

This is SO annoying!!!!  Why does it just Stop??

Several different desktops, all browsers!

Please fix it ASAP!

I have many other sources for online music, and will stop using Pandora if you cannot fix it!!

You are NOT the only source!!  Get after it!!

And let me add this information.

I am an IT Specialist.  I know what I am doing.

Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube play without interruption.

It is not my connection to the internet, it is not my router, it is not my PC.

It is the Pandora service, period.

Hi, @Skippy344. 👋

Nice to see you around the community space. I'm happy to report your experience to our engineering team on your behalf.

It is helpful to know more about the following:

  • Does this happen when you're playing albums, individual songs, playlists, or using your stations?
  • Have any error messages popped up? If so, what exactly does it say?
  • What is the make and model of your computer? Are you using Windows or MAC?
  • Lastly, which browser do you use when listening to Pandora from your computer?

Let me know. 🎧

Hi AlyssaPandora,

It happens under all selections, albums, playlists, individual songs and my stations.

No error messages, but the audio meter is actively playing next to the song, like it is playing, but no sound.

Dell Vostro, Win 11 Pro

HP All in One, Win 10 Home

HP laptop Envy Win 10 Home

Chrome, Edge, Firefox

Was there ever a solution to this issue, because I am having the same pausing issue at the 3 min mark. I've tried all the usual solutions, Reset app data, uninstall and re-install Pandora, nothing seems to have worked.

Hi there, @Corychooli. 👋

Could you help by providing a little more info?

Are you noticing any error messages when this happens? If so, what exactly does it say?

If you're using the Windows Desktop App:

  1. Make and model of your device:
  2. Mode: Desktop or Tablet?
  3. Network (Wi-Fi or 3G/4G/LTE):
  4. Pandora version (under Pandora Settings on the bottom left):
  5. Windows version & build:
  6. Also, are you running a Preview Build of Windows? If so, are you in the fast ring or slow ring?

++

If you're using a MAC computer:

  1. Make and model of your device;
  2. Network (Wi-Fi or LAN);
  3. Pandora version (Go to the App Menu Toolbar, select Pandora then About Pandora);
  4. Mac version (Click the Apple Icon on the Menu Toolbar them About This Mac);

Thanks for your help with this. 🎧
