Ideas: Ability to block or mute artist/songs/genres

Opening Act
Status: Open Ideas

New Feature Idea: Create Rules about what bands you never want to hear.  If I select a Genre but there are certain bands I never want to hear, there should be a way to create a rule. i.e. I select the 70's Rock Genre but I never want to hear any music from Sting, Rush, Styx, Journey, Kiss, etc.  then allow me to create a rule eliminating them fron the selection algorithm.

The playlist is different from the radio selections and the Pandora search
engine is unpredictable. So, there's still the risk of unwanted contact
with disgust. I don't have any sympathy for people who receive ss I and
can't afford socks or a Pandora subscription. Lance that in the boil and
tell them to sign up for free financial management online and then maybe
they can afford the soundtrack to "Cool World" and "The Wizard of Oz" while
they learn to use a sippy cup at the psyche ward.

Well, the possibilities are more unlimited with Amazon because they do have
a bigger selection. But I'm sure Pandora has a very nice, "Grateful Dead"
collection. Pandora certainly played Black Sabbath just fine. The 5th
Dimension was no problem, either. Good luck at Amazon.

You do have to thumbs down A LOT of songs you don't like before Pandora
will play something similar, yet distastefully different enough a better
thumb decision can be made, whether it works out happy, or not. I'm sorry
for you that you don't like Willie Nelson's music. As, if. I've known a lot
of people who are just jealous because he wears a head band that still fits
at his age. Most people I know who don't like the Eagles think it's too
educational. If teenagers make more informed decisions, there won't be as
much unwanted pregnancy. So, they never play the Eagles at church sermons.
Definitely, definitely, too much responsible sex-ed for the social workers
who fellowship with the Preachers and their Christmas wish lists.

For anyone who needed clarification, I didn't mean financially afford Pandora. Ever been with a bad partner? And you thought to yourself "I can't afford to stay with this guy / girl" even though they were pretty well off, because something was really off about their behavior or character? That's what I meant by afford, not in a literal sense of the word afford. Or, "I can't afford to let my rich grandpa do any more expensive favors, and I can't afford to let him be in my life, because he will come back later and try to manipulate me into doing something I don't feel great about doing". That kind of 'can't afford' - a psychological or moral 'can't afford'.

I mean, I sucked at English classes more than any other subject in school, was a little brain damaged from my birth mom doing drugs when she was making me because I came from rape and they wouldn't let her get an abortion, and I am autistic so sometimes sarcasm doesn't register right away . . . . . but I take time after reading comments to think about what people really mean, are thinking, and what they really feel, and I can recognize metaphors when I actually think after reading things, but some people need a little help. So here is your help.
