We love pandora but we would really love pandora if you had an adjustable playback speed, so we could slow our music down and still sound good and not be distorted. I know some like to speed the music up too so I included them into my request. Thank you

@TannerPandoraJust found I could play a song after watching an ad, cool that I can do it on the website.  Issue is, related to this feature request, this fancy premium mode locks down the player behind closed-source js javascript code.  May I ask you to please expose the <audio> html tag for the music currently playing to be able to do the same as on free pandora?  Because, if I were to purchase a pandora account and had to use the premium mode, I'd even MORE like the right to use playback speed because I'd be paying for the service, and rather have the freedom to do so, since I could already download the songs if I were paying for it.

Thanks.

  • Pandora uses AAC (Apple's advanced audio codec) for 64 kbit/s, not MP3, which would sound far, FAR worse.

Are there any plans to switch to HE-AAC v2 or OPUS for these lower bitrates?  I don't think OPUS will sound any better than AAC, as I have encoded some songs at 64 bit opus, and it's only medium, half-decent quality.  AAC at 64 kbit/s is quite similar, but OPUS is open-source and newer.

HE-AACv2 has the edge in very low rates less than 48, compared to opus, but above that, opus seems to sound a bit better.  Are there any plans to switch the audio codecs used?
