Pandora seems to have an app for every smart device I have ever bought, except a new car with AAOS (Android Automotive OS). Please port a tablet version of Pandora for AAOS so that I can use that instead of radio or Spotify (which does have an app).
Got the email today about my subscription renewing on 12/9. When to manage my account and hit the cancel auto renewal so after many year of a subscriber I'm out of here. Sorry to go but just don't want to do business with a company that doesn't listen to their customers needs.
My current theory is that XM (Pandora's owner) thinks we will sign up for XM since we can't have pandora. Xm, it looks like you don't read this or care, but I will not be signing up for XM. I will be leaving for Spotify.
Iamgroot: We do indeed listen to a lot of XM in our car, but our biggest problem there is the audio quality. The satellite broadcast is extremely low bitrate, making it sound pretty bad if you have an audio system of any quality.
Also, I listen to some fairly obscure music, and XM just doesn't have it. My custom Pandora stations are perfect for that!
I agree with adding to AAOS. I have a Volvo xc90 and have recently moved to Spotify because of this issue. I know Sirius XM is on there so why not Pandora seeing Sirius owns Pandora
With manufacturers moving away from Android Auto and Apple car play you have to get with the times before everyone (including myself, an almost 20 year user!!!) cancels our subscriptions and moves to Spotify. We have been asking for this for YEARS!!!!
We definitely need this feature. I’ve been subscribed to Pandora since 2012 and it pains me to use Spotify in my car because Pandora isn’t supported. Yes, I know that I could hook up my phone, but that’s a headache. I love just being able to hop in the car and go without dealing with whether the phone connects or which phone connects or trying to go DJ my own playlist. Pandora finds me music that I like without me having to look for it. In the developing AI environment that is today’s technology, that should be improving, not held back because you didn’t choose to port your program to the latest auto OS systems.
