Ideas: Combined Shuffle Stations + Discovery Mode

Feature Suggestion: Combined Shuffle Stations + Discovery Mode

Currently, users can either use Shuffle Stations OR Discovery Mode, but not both simultaneously. I propose a solution that could make this possible:

1. When a user enables both Shuffle and Discovery, let each station's Discovery Mode run independently in the background (as it already does for single stations).

2. Each station's algorithm selects its next potential Discovery song.

3. The existing Shuffle algorithm then chooses the best fit from among these pre-selected Discovery songs.

4. Play the selected song and repeat the process.

This approach would:

• Maintain the integrity of each station's Discovery algorithm

• Provide cross-genre variety through Shuffle

• Introduce new music across all genres

• Build on Pandora's existing station-level Discovery capabilities

This feature would be especially valuable for users with diverse station collections who want to explore new music across multiple genres.
