Ideas: Friend activity and “Now Playing” sharing

Subject, basically.

I've been digging around and haven't found anything yet.  

How can a friend follow me and see what I'm currently listening to?

On Apple Music my friend can 'follow' me or whatever and see what I'm playing, but I don't know how to do that on Pandora which is where I spend most of my music streaming.

The algo here, at least for me, is leagues away from others, and I discover a lot of music that way; not so much with others.

@GauntDeformer “Pandora doesn’t support real‑time listening visibility like Apple Music. The closest option is making your profile public and sharing playlists or stations, but friends can’t see what you’re playing at the moment. Hopefully SiriusXM takes note — this would be a great feature to consider for Pandora’s future.”

You’re absolutely right that discovering music through friends can be a great experience, and it’s helpful to hear how features like this work for you on other platforms. Pandora does allow listeners to follow each other, but at the moment there isn’t a way to see what someone is currently listening to in real time. (Thanks for your post @MOHLovesAlaska!)

That said, feedback like this is exactly what the Ideas board is for. It’s great insight into how listeners want to connect and discover music, and I’ve made sure your suggestion is captured for visibility.

In my opinion I think that if you guys are going to have a friend feature that there should be more ways to interact with friends. Maybe sending each other songs and commenting on them and to show when your friends are on and what they are listening to.
