To demonstrate just how little they care, go to the For You tab in the Pandora app. Then click on playlist. At the top of the page you will see a number of playlist, they will have titles like, Your Happy Soundtrack, Your Pop Soundtrack. They haven’t been updated since 2023! Not only has Pandora stopped updating them they can’t even be bothered to just delete them since they are completely dead. They don’t even care to remove the things that are dead and no longer being updated. So they definitely aren’t worried about adding any new features. It’s truly sad but we are watching Pandora die a slow painful death.
I did not know that Sirius bought Pandora, but it explains a lot - I cancelled Sirius MANY years ago - they had removed the ONLY station (out of hundreds!) that was listenable to me, as well as playing the same two songs by the same handful of artists over and over and over again (which is my other big issue with Pandora).
I would say if out of the hundreds of channels available, you could only find one channel that was listenable, you may want to just give up on music or just buy one album and listen to it over and over and over. lol
I canceled BECAUSE I couldn't stand listening to the same things over and over and over. Did you somehow miss that? You have no idea of the absurdly wide variety of music I enjoy, and apparently of how horrible and limited and repetitive the music on all of those other stations was. Yeah, I'm picky, but there are hundreds of thousands of good and interesting songs out there that these services never play.
I didn’t miss anything. Lol. I was like Subscriber number 7 way back when it was just XM and then i subscribed to Sirius. I used both services until they merged and continue to use it. My musical taste is extremely eclectic and listen to almost every genre and sub genre on earth. lol. When you have over 200 channels representing every major genre and many sub genres, there isn’t any problem finding things to listen to and mixing it up. Plenty of the channels add new music every single week when new releases drop. I also subscribe to Apple Music , Spotify, and Pandora. Mixing in stations to hear what others play, taking that to build playlist , or to lead to albums to be explored. Absolutely a never ending musical journey. An eclectic musical taste can find never ending amounts of music to listen to out of hundreds stations representing every major genre and many sub genres. lol
Yes, I suggested this years ago. What is the problem? It seems easy to make it up..you do the complex thing of personalizing, why not let us group our stations? It would be like a real radio station then. Why not?
