Ideas: Higher Audio Quality

How about higher audio quality?  Amazon has introduced this feature, and others have been ahead of Pandora as well.  It would be great to have the Genome Project advantage with higher audio quality.  Do others agree?

I started playing songs on Pandora and then Amazon Music utilizing HEOS and there is a huge noticeable difference in quality.  HEOS shows you the bitrate and Pandora is way behind the competition.  Best algorithm, worst quality.  Can't use Pandora at home anymore.

Totally agree with you. Best algorithm, worst quality.

It's not available yet for me but, even so, it's going to cost about $5 a
month more than Apple music for 16 bit 44hz which is still lower than
Apple.

Loooong-time Pandora subscriber here to say they need to add Lossless. Been a feature request for at least 5 years. As far as notable feature updates, I don’t recall any in recent times. Here is an opportunity to roll out something substantial.

320kbps is considered "standard" or even "low" streaming quality on other services. Being capped at 192kbps is ridiculous in 2025 as a premium user. Most payed services have 16bit and 24bit lossless options.

I have been paying for Pandora premium for about a decade. I remember losing patience over the audio quality about 5 years ago and seeing this post. I held out hope that it would come. I'm done waiting Pandora. I'm moving on and taking my family plan elsewhere.

I switched a long time ago to Apple music for hires. However, I often still
use free Pandora to build a Playlist to play on my Apple music because
Pandora still has the best algorithm for building Playlist. Too bad I have
to use 2 different services to get all I want. It what it is....
