Ideas: Native App for Tesla

Ideas: Native App for Tesla

I have been using Pandora since the service launched the and love it!  I now have a Tesla and would really like to have a native Pandora app in the Tesla streaming music service options!  I can Bluetooth connect the phone and use it that way but it is more distracting for driving than having a native App right on the Tesla screen.

Guys, come on.  There is clearly interest in getting a native Pandora app in Teslas.  It's embarrassing at this point that every other streaming platform is already on Tesla.  How do you let Amazon Music one-up you?  Come on guys, let's prioritize this.

As a long time subscriber - first basic plans all the way to premium family plans - a native Tesla app has to happen. Especially with the change from "streaming" to Live one in the Tesla cars, a native app is needed even more. Chances are high that even with paid premium connectivity on Tesla, the change to Live one will force another paid subscription to keep ad free radio.

Solution?  A native app for Tesla.

As others have pointed out, Amazon Music, Tidal, Apple Music, Spotify, and now even YouTube Music are all options on Tesla but not Pandora?!

Come on folks!

I've waited long enough, and I just canceled my premium subscription.  I mainly use it in the Tesla, and I hate going through Bluetooth from my iPhone, so I use YouTube Music instead.  Pandora, you lost a 10-year-long customer.

I started with Pandora back in 2009 and if Pandora doesn't eventually
provide a native app for Tesla, I too will drop and move over to Spotify as
I'm not going to tack on yet another subscription for streaming audio (live
one) when I already have one.

And no, to those that say - just use the BT feature. Nope nope nope. This
isn't 2015 or before anymore.

I am in the same boat, I've still been paying my locked in rate of $4/month for plus for 1.5 years now since getting my tesla and haven't used it more than 5-10 times (due to the poor quality of the Bluetooth audio compared to native and no thumbs up support).

I've been a Pandora customer for over 15 years, 12+ of those with the Pandora One subscription.

I keep holding off hoping they will finally work with Tesla since I'm fed up with all the other "radio" algorithms like Spotify and YouTube Music.... but I'm losing hope.  😞

Maybe someone from Pandora will actually read this forum and take action. Please don't let Pandora turn into the next Napster!

Exactly.  I've spent so many hours training (thumbs up/down) my pandora over the years that it is fantastic at finding new artists that match my listening style based on the channel i'm currently listening to.

The idea of having to start over with that - and from what others say; forced to have a not as good as pandora algorithm -  on any platform is wildly frustrating but will be a necessary pain if a native app doesn't occur.

Like you, 15+yr subscriber and I can't recall when I became a pandora one subscriber but it's been a very, very long time.  Have been on the premium family plan for 6 or so years now as well.

Tesla just removed their standard included streaming service effective the end on November.  I’m forced to leave pandora if they can’t get an app on Tesla.  Come on guys!
