Ideas: Queue next track regardless of playlist or station currently playing

Update queue feature so music that is queued will play next regardless of what station or playlist is playing. Basically allow queued music to interrupt a stations playlist.

Example: I'm listened to the "Summer Hits of the 2000s" station and I want to play "wake me up" by Avicii next after the current song that is playing from the "Summer Hits of the 2000's" is over. I add it to my queue. What I expect is for Avicii's song to play next but it doesn't; the station continues to play its playlist without adding my queued song. And it would be great if it would play my queued song instead and then continue with the stations music.

I second this heartily. The way I'd love to use Pandora: be listening to a station on auto play, think of a song or two I want to listen to next so I add them to the queue.

Those songs in the queue should play next, and then my previous station should resume playing on auto play. I find the current system where I have to manually start playing my queue highly illogical and aggravating.

This is ridiculous. It's been 4 years since this was raised. The feature request has not progressed at all. The current behaviour does not have any use. Literally every other platform and player works as expected, except Pandora. I came over from Spotify because of the Music Genome Project which is awesome, but a basic functionality is missing which people use constantly.

Do you guys need a pesudo code or UML activity diagram to understand what we mean by this request? I don't mean this to be offensive, I am happy to create one.

Hello, I've seen a post about this posted 5 years ago and the solution doesn't actually solve the problem.

I use Pandora over Spotify because if it's algorithm/stations proving much more variety. So naturally when I'm throwing on something to play, I'll click a song/album and have Pandora play a station from that. However often times I want to hear a specific song next so I'll throw a song in the queue. The song in my queue will not play even though it says its up next, skipping the current song doesn't work either.

The previous solution brushed it off with "well you queued a station so that has to play through, or you have to click the song you want played and manually play it. " this is not a solution. Firstly I didn't "queue the station". Furermore, This doesn't simply play the queued song and continue playing the station I was enjoying after the song I queued is over like I'd expect.. Instead this solution just changes the station completely and does "autoplay" from the song I only wanted to hear interrupting the station I was previously listening to.

Can we please get this implemented? It's teetering on being a dealbreaker and may have to switch to a different service that isnt Pandora or Spotify.. Thanks yall.

@bugatchertaylo I moved your post over to this existing thread: Ideas: Queue next track regardless of playlist or station currently playing

If you haven't already done so, I recommend upvoting this thread to express your interest in seeing it added to the service.
