Even though Avenged Sevenfold is a hard rock band, I like to mix rock and blues on the same station - and, up until a little over a month ago, my Avenged Sevenfold Radio has been doing a good job of mixing the genres. However, the station has recently been choking out the blues variety and it keeps throwing songs at me that I never thumbed up in excess. I haven't been listening to any special mode, just 'my station'.
Is this change intentional? If so, I'm really gonna miss the station that I spent about six and a half years cultivating.
@blues-sevenfold We use all of the feedback you've given on the station (all the Thumbs and any additional seeds) to determine what to play next. If you want to hear more songs by a particular artist, review the Thumbs and seeds you have added. To improve your stations, make sure each of the Thumbs Up or seeds you've added fit with the type of station you want and remove those that don't.
To edit your station on the web, go to My Collection, sort your collection by Stations, and then select the name of the station you'd like to edit.
Then:
Now you should hear more of that particular artist in the station, though we do limit the number of songs by a particular artist played each hour due to licensing agreements.
As for the Thumbs or seeds you removed, keep in mind that you can always create new stations based on those songs or artists.
Hope this helps. Thanks so much for listening!

Station: Avenged Sevenfold Radio
Station Mode: My Station
Note: Songs with a strike-through are songs that were previously unthumbed and currently thumbed down.
Playback List:
I really should not be getting so many unthumbed tracks thrown at me on 'my station' mode when I have 678 thumbed up tracks, especially when it hasn't been like this up until a little over a month ago.
I am aware of licensing restrictions (I think it's no more than four songs by a particular artist within a two-hour period, if I recall correctly.) - but I'm not sure what I did differently that could change my station so drastically. If I wanted more variety on this station - that's what the other station modes are for, isn't it? Maybe there's a possible flaw in the system? The station mode reads 'my station' on my end, but it sure isn't behaving like it's that mode. It sounds more like the station mode is 'crowd faves', but that is not what I have selected. It should also be noted that I have plenty of songs thumbed-up by various other artists that have not appeared within this span of time.
1220 thumbed down songs as of this post.
EDIT: Saw this notice again, today. I wonder if this has something to do with it: 'We’ve noticed some issues that may be affecting your ability to listen or use certain features on Pandora. We are working to address the problem. Thanks for your patience!'
EDIT 2: It appears to be fixed, now. Thank you very much! 🙂
