I appreciate your considerate reply. However this isn't about personal taste. Unfortunately, the worst thing about a lot of this AI music is that it is very appealing.
The problem is ethics and the human condition. Music is supposed to be an expression of joy, faith, love, grief, sadness... even anger and rage. AI music robs humanity of these things. It cheats me into believing that I am sharing a moment with a creator... but in reality its some corporate suit thinking that they can deceive me and take my money and not have to pay a royalty.
It is the equivalent of some restaurant putting an addictive drug into their food and having people return because of the compulsion, not because of the quality of the food, or the comradery of sharing the breaking of bread.
As I posted some weeks ago, I love Pandora. I love that the music genome project has built such an incredible algorithm that helps me enjoy what is genuinely good about the music I already love and helps me to find more of it.
But using that same power to send me AI slop is demeaning and dishonest. it exploits me, and discourages real artists from creating. It's a cheat, a lie, a falsehood. It's an abomination.
Please, please, please... ensure that only real creators are featured here.
