Excessive repetition when shuffling stations

I have been using Pandora for 20 yrs or so....best guess.  So I have been building my playlist of stations for a really long time.  Recently I bought a couple bluetooth speakers and use Pandora now more than ever.  I would like to know where to pose the question as to what is the problem with Pandora.  Specifically why even though I typically use shuffle play I hear MANY of the same songs day after day.  It has gotten so bad that I changed my "thumbs up" ranking to "thumbs down" on some songs since am so tired of hearing them over and over again.  Please advise.

I definitely understand how frustrating that can be, especially after spending so many years building and fine-tuning your stations. I also appreciate you sharing that you’ve already tried adjusting some of your Thumb ratings on tracks that were repeating too often.

When Shuffle is heavily favoring the same songs, we do have a pinned thread with some tips and recommendations that can often help improve station variety and reduce repetition: Tips for better stations

In particular, I’d recommend taking a look at the section titled “Repetition when shuffling stations” and trying the suggestions listed there. Those steps are specifically designed for situations like the one you described when shuffling across multiple stations.
