Explicit tracks playing with explicit filter enabled

I have the explicit  toggle off like y'all said and I still keep getting explicit songs.  I tried to do thumbs down and there wasn't even an option for that.  I understand others want the right to listen to whatever they want,  but i also would like the option to block ALL explicit content for my family so I don't have to worry about being right next to my phone to skip. I pay for this so I didn't have inappropriate ads and now I can't stop the F word from playing........

Why is there not a way to avoid all explicit content?

@Redhot1 NIce to see you around the community.

It sounds like you may have been listening to on-demand content if you weren't seeing the option to give a thumbs down to the explicit track that played on your account.

The explicit filter will only apply to songs that play on your stations; it doesn't apply to playlists you create, or those created for you by Pandora. Also, It doesn't apply to podcasts.

When you're curating playlists or searching for songs or podcasts, you can identify explicit tracks by a red "E" label. To keep explicit songs or podcasts from your collection, avoid adding those with that label.

If that isn't what's happening, can you give me a little more feedback so I can take a look into this?

The next time an explicit track plays on your station, please give the track a thumbs down and write us back with the following:

  • The name of the station you were listening to:
  • The date/time the out of place track(s) played
  • The name(s) of the out of place artist(s) on the station.
  • The title(s) of the out of place track(s) that played.
  • A screenshot of the out of place track playing on the now playing screen.
  • Were you able to give the out of place track(s) a Thumbs down?
  • Were you listening using a Pandora Mode like Crowd Faves, Discovery or Deep Cuts?

Thanks for working with me on this.

@Redhot1 We completely understand your concern, and we’re truly sorry to hear that this has affected your experience with us. Your feedback about wanting a way to block explicit content is both valid and important, especially for families who want to enjoy music together worry-free.

While we don’t currently offer a full explicit-content block, I can assure your feedback has been noted and passed along.

We really appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us about this!
