Is there a way to filter out AI artists

Hi all,

Does there happen to be a way to filter out AI artists? I keep getting them on my stations and it's driving me crazy. I thumbs down a song from the artist but get another one from the same one later. 

I don't want to mess with my station too much, because other than the AI content, I have it pretty dialed in, and I don't want it thinking I don't like the genre.

I avoid most generative AI. Not trying to start a debate. AI has legitimate uses, I am not against all of it, but I don't want my subscription pennies going toward generated music, when real artists could be getting it.

I have been a pandora listener since waaaay early on, and I am seriously considering unsubscribing if I can't make that choice.

I totally agree.  

I am a longtime Pandora user, but if I can not remove the AI garbage, I will find another solution that fits my needs better.  I even pay them for a subscription.  Amazon maybe?   Will look into that

All the platforms have been pretty lax on stopping the onslaught of AI Slop. Only one I know of that is really pushing back hard is Deezer. Tidal gave me a way to report AI tracks but not sure what happens to those reports. Most other platforms like Apple and Spotify are saying they will label AI tracks, but they don't have a great way to monitor for this and are mostly concerned with AI artists that try to impersonate another real artist and will take immediate action for those situations.

Pandora on the other hand doesn't seem to be doing ANYTHING. I reached out to support about this and their "solution" was to thumbs down a track so that person doesn't show up on your feed. But that doesn't address the problem whatsoever. I want to keep this slop from showing up on my feed in the first place and do not have time to go research every new artist that comes out. Especially when AI music releases now account for 44% of all music releases and that number is sure to keep growing.

Dude, you are really bumming me out but I thank you for your comments.  I think I will end up following you out the door with pandora.  

I am a Zappa dead rush Jennings  inxs kind of guy and I will not listen to music from a toaster.  I respect the artist.  

same goes for poetry, books, paintings and any other kind of art. That is the sole domain of  humans.  Call me old fashion

NiExshadow & Rosa are the 2 that have been popping into my playlist.  I like Pandora for discovering new artists, but I don't want to support AI, so this is disappointing.  Look at the artists pages, multiple albums in a year with a ton of songs means they are AI.

Pandora needs to identify AI "artists" and allow users to block them.

This is really disappointing because I like using Pandora to find new artists.  I don't want to switch to a music provider that will limit me to making playlists of just the artists I already know.  But I'm not going to support this practice, so I'll cancel my subscription if Pandora doesn't give us this option.

After a little digging this is where the various music platforms stand with regards to AI policies:

Platforms that have taken a strong stance against ALL AI music:

Bandcamp, Qobuz

Platforms that detect & label AI music and also demonitize it but still allow it:

Deezer, Tidal

Platforms that are middle ground; Disclosure + some quality filtering:

Apple Music, YouTube

Platforms that only enforce fraudulant impersonations but actively embrace AI music:

Spotify

Platforms that are doing jack **ahem** about AI music:

Amazon, Pandora, SoundCloud

My Pandora plan renews each May.  So they have 10 months to take action in order to keep my business.  All I ask for is labeling and filters.  I mean, yes it's theft and should be banned completely, but I'm not seeking to control the world, just want appropriate and simple tools that will let me manage my consumption.  Banning or demonization is on the record labels, who should be suing all the platforms for the unauthorized use that we know is occurring in the process.  Also the labels could pull their licenses and that would solve the problem real quick.

Is there anyone out there that actually enjoys the AI music and wants to hear it? Or is it more that they aren't paying attention and don't notice? I don't know why anyone would want to listen to it. What is the point.

I have been paying for Pandora for at least 10 years, and this is the first time I've had to post - @Pandora please do something about this, I love my stations but they are getting swamped with AI garbage tracks.  I've hit thumbs down more in the past few weeks than in my entire time on the platform, please give us an option to filter out the AI generated tracks.
