Pandora Update 07/02/2020: Hi everyone!
Our engineering team is aware of the issue with the "Hours Listened To" time stamp resetting.
They are currently looking into it and are working on a resolution. 🛠
Keep an eye on this thread as all updates will be posted here.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
Seems like this has been an issue for quite a while now with still no solution in sight. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if this metric wasn't tied to the download offline feature of pandora plus, which is the only reason i pay for pandora plus. So because of this incorrect time stamp, my 3 offline stations are NOT my top 3 most listened to stations.
@techxguy This is only a display issue with web.
Your hours are correctly being tracked on the back-end, however those numbers aren't properly displaying when viewing your stations on web.
This is not actually connected to any issues you may be experiencing with your offline stations.
For additional help with that, make sure to check out my reply on this thread: Offline doesn't download most listened to stations
When is there going to be a fix for this issue, that's been going on for over a year? I have Pandora plus and was wondering why the station "Hard Rock/Metal" I've been primarily listening to for 6 months isn't one of the downloaded stations. I went to check the listening time and come to find out it has zero hours. Can you tell me how many hours this station has, since you stated that information does exist on the back end? Very frustrating hope this issue is being taken seriously and will soon be addressed.

Unfortunately, I am unable to verify how many listening hours your station has on my end.
This being said, that particular issue is not actually connected to any issues you may be experiencing with your offline stations getting downloaded.

Is there any timeline for when this will be fixed? Seems like a basic feature to be broken for over a year. Not sure why this hasn't been made a priority to fix.
FYI - happened again. Stations that had 540 listening hours are now over 1100 hours.
Very odd.
@lynshaw Please try signing out of Pandora on the web, and then sign back in again. Since signing out clears Pandora's local storage from your browser, this may help.
If not, please grab a screenshot of what you are seeing and send it in a reply to this thread.
Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝
Signed out and back in. Same result WRT hours listened:
Thanks for following up, @lynshaw.
I have escalated your report over to our engineering team so they can further investigate.

I've suspected that the hours clocked for my stations hasn't been accurate for awhile. Listening to any station will eventually update the list with a vast jump in hours listened while sometimes subtracting hours from much older stations. Today I logged back in after cleaning my browser history and cached data altogether and found that some stations were reset to 0 seconds while others were entirely unchanged.
I'd like to be able to use this feature to vary my exposure to different genres, but as it stands I may as well be recording estimates in a text document.
Been years now and I'm still having this same issue also. Just listened to a station yesterday and checked it today and it says 0 seconds listened to. I've had this station for years. I enjoy going in and listening to my least listened to station for the day, so that all my stations are pretty evenly balanced, I haven't been able to do this with accuracy for quite awhile. Any sort of update or progress report would be nice. Hopefully this issue is at least being looked at.

Let me know how it goes.
I signed out and signed back in and now half my stations say 0 seconds listened to.

Any solution yet? This just happened to my stations for at least the second time.

Thank you Adam, I tried that with no success. The most obvious "Resetting" of listening hours is the "Bleachers" station, which had more than 700 hours before resetting to under 400 hours. This has happened before and it seems like it's not affecting all stations, but has hit this station at least twice. Thanks for any suggestions/tips you can provide. Fwiw, it's relevant to my offline listening capabilities (fitbit, etc.), where I have limits related to my most-listened stations.

I'm experiencing the same issue in November of 2022. So it's been 2 years since these posts and Pandora hasn't changed a thing. That must mean it's intentional and have something to do with how much money you get per month out of the user. You must want to incentivize us to be able to determine which stations are downloaded by giving you much more money.
I see the moderator has marked this as fixed.
It is not fixed. All of my older stations still say 0 hours 0 minutes, or some small number for very recent playing. It's been a bug for years.
