Altho I have faithfully followed the instructions to add variety/new artists to my station, I never hear them. I seem to hear the same 20 or so songs over and over. How do I fix this? As best I can tell this isn't a genre station and the "add variety" button isn't greyed out.
Hello,
Thanks for adding the station "McBaise." I have been listening to it for quite some time and noticed that the only music from McBaise himself is from his first album. He has 2 other albums that have never popped up, not a single song from them. Is this by design or just a bug?

I've been cultivating my Pandora station since the late 90s, early 2000s. It was awesome. There was a ton of variety on my station. I could jump from hard rock to Disney to show tunes. I've noticed the last few weeks most of my variety is gone. It's become exceedingly populated with only 3 to 4 artist's tracks over and over. I don't know what changed. I didn't do anything to change it. Any ideas what happened? Can I get it back or am I stuck trying to rebuild? Even as I've tried to add more influences, it's all Mumford all the dang time.
@joanne3482 What is the name of the station you are running into repetition with?
Let me know.
It is called the ever so clever My Station.
Thanks for following up, @joanne3482.

The accepted solution is not the solution I'm looking for. I've spent 20+ YEARS with this station. It used to have a ton of variety. I have over 660 songs thumbs up. Through nothing I've done, it has become the Mumford and Son's station. I like them, obviously, I've thumbs up many of their songs, but previously I got a lot of variety and now I don't. I don't want to do a bunch of work to get my station back to what it was when I didn't make any changes to begin with. Like several others in this thread, I pay and this is severely frustrating.
I have the same issue with Pandora playing a small subset of my Thumbs Up songs on repeat, and am in the process of switching to spotify after more than 10 years with Pandora.
Going through my pandora stations, I'm finding tons of songs that haven't been played in what seems like years. Spotify's UI is superior as well.
I'm a classics buff in addition to really enjoying New Age collections. But I have to ask why every 5th or 6th song we continue to get yet another rendition of the Canon in D. I don't know of any selection that gets that frequent a play on the Enya Radio collection. Is there someone at Pandora who thinks it's the greatest composition of the modern world and just can't get enough? It has its beauty and its intriguing development as you listen. But every twenty minutes is sadly wearing out its welcome.

Enya Radio. Most repeated is one selection: Pachelbel Canon, or Canon in D. Seems like every 20 minutes I get a version of this by various artists
When I go offline the station I’m playing after a certain amount of time will repeat the same songs how can it be fixed?
@AdamPandora
@Keysean2 It is true that each offline station that is downloaded will provide approximately 3 hours of music for you to enjoy (you probably start to hear repetition in songs after that amount of time passes).
While listening offline, it's important to continue giving feedback in the form of Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down. The next time you connect to Pandora through Wi-Fi or a mobile network, we will use that info to personalize and replace the offline tracks with new ones.
This all being said, I do see you are currently upgraded to Pandora Premium.
With this level of subscription, you have the option of creating your own customized playlist where you can pick and choose what songs you want to include. This playlist can also be as long as you want (exceeding that 3 hour limit).
You can then download that playlist and listen to it in Offline Mode while at work.
Check out this thread for instructions on how you can create a new playlist: How to create a new playlist
Hope this helps!
I've always just thumbs up or down. Lately my 3420 station plays all the same thumbs up over and over (as in the same 50 or so)
Then it's always throwing in stuff I have to thumbs down like 50 times a day. Yet it will not play anything I've collected or downloaded....I'm confused now.

We use all of the feedback you've given on the station (all the Thumbs and any additional seeds) to determine what to play next. If you want to hear more songs by a particular artist, review the Thumbs and seeds you have added. To improve your stations, make sure each of the Thumbs Up or seeds you've added fit with the type of station you want and remove those that don't.
To edit your station on the web, go to My Collection, sort your collection by Stations, and then select the name of the station you'd like to edit.
Then:
As for the Thumbs or seeds you removed, keep in mind that you can always create new stations based on those songs or artists.

So how exactly is this working now for my premium subscription? My station I thought I had been building for many years is now just having to thumbs down 3 songs in a row every other song. What happened to all the work I've put into this and still can't get all the songs I want together. Collected, downloaded, thumbs up....what ever. Not happy
I definitely understand your frustration, @96.
I've escalated your feedback over to our engineering team as this is all helpful information for them.
In the meantime, I recommend running through the suggested troubleshooting steps I provided in my previous message to you.
Alternatively, you can always create custom playlists with your Pandora Premium subscription. If you go that route, you can pick and choose exactly what songs you want to hear during your listening session - this will help avoid any of the repetition you've recently experienced.
Hope this helps!
I have a station that has 15 artist that is created from but I always hear the same songs over and over day after day. The songs seem to repeat as listening for a hour or so I will hear the same songs.
I know each artist has more than the 5 songs that are played and the question is how do I get a station to play more than the same 20 or songs over and over.
