While listening only to one station, which has thousands of thumbs up and down, I have recently noticed tracks play which I have given a thumbs up in the past but show no thumbs up now. The songs are all from Pandora's library, I have not uploaded any material. I also recently paid to upgrade again to Pandora Plus, it had expired for some days. Not sure if the disappearing started when the paid subscription expired.
I have read the other posts on disappearing thumbs up and don't believe the feature descriptions about shuffling between stations applies to my use case.
Station: Peter's big messy station
Example track with disappearing thumbs up: Helpless by Sugar from album Copper Blue
@KimmyC The next time a track plays with the Thumbs Up rating not highlighted (when you know it was given a Thumbs Up to previously), please take a screenshot of what you are seeing and post that picture in a reply to this thread.
I can then pass that information along to our engineering team so they can take a closer look.

Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝
I'm also having the issue of songs that were previously given a thumbs up no longer having them. It's been happening for several months now. At first I just thought I was mistaken but, now I'm positive they are disappearing.

My downvote on The Piano Guys' version of Bring Him Home was removed AGAIN from my Beneath the Starry Night playlist. This is 4 times in about three months. My upvote of Paul Cardall's Sacred Nature also disappeared from the same station, which is at least the second or third time that has happened. At this point I see multiple thumb-ups are missing from the list (I had about 102 and it's at 96), but unfortunately there's no way to tell which without keeping a running list of my previous thumb-ups.
No screenshots this time as you can see them in previous posts of mine in this same thread. My downvote on Bring Him Home didn't even stick around for a month.
I've listened to my Opeth radio station for over a decade and lately it's been playing songs it has played for a decade that I know I have given a thumbs up to and the now playing screen indicates that I haven't yet given it a thumbs up. This isn't a case of a different version of the same song or the same song from two different albums. These are the same songs from the same albums that I know I gave a thumbs up to years ago. Why are my songs losing their thumps up status?
Hi @adbinder24,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear.

So I have over 3800 thumbs up songs on my thumbprint station but the same 20 songs play and I’ve also noticed by the off chance a different song plays I know 100% I’ve given a thumbs up plays it no longer has the thumbs up highlighted.. also if I listen to one of my playlists and I get a phone call (I work in customer service so my phone is my work phone) it will continue playing the rest of the song it was on and then stop, even if I close the app it won’t continue playing, I have to sign out to get it to reset.. I pay for pandora so this is getting ridiculous
@Cuddles6987 I moved your post over to this existing thread: Thumb ratings are suddenly missing
Thumb ratings are no longer highlighted:
I've taken a look at your Thumbprint Radio and believe you're seeing this issue as a result of the very high number of thumbed tracks associated with this station. We have a limit in place that will only consider the most recent thumb ratings on each station.
Usually, if a listener has a very large number of thumbed down tracks, we suggest listening to a new station given that many negative ratings tends to imply it may not be offering the most enjoyable experience.
Alternately, if you prefer to keep your station you can continue to thumb these tracks down so that they're given more current consideration or use the "I'm tired of this track" feature.
I've also shared your negative feedback around this as it's helpful when making future improvements to the product.

Thumbprint Radio Repetition:
If you don't have many stations, you may want to create more stations and give more thumbs up, to give Thumbprint more feedback to work with.
Be sure to thumb freely on Thumbprint Radio; this will help us learn which thumbs you want to hear more of, and which you aren't interested in anymore. Thumbing a track up or down on Thumbprint Radio won't affect its thumb rating elsewhere. Just like your other stations, if you thumb up a track, you'll continue to hear it and tracks like it, and if you thumb it down, it won't play again on Thumbprint Radio. You can always remove the thumbs down later if you want to bring the track back into rotation on Thumbprint.
You can also use the I'm tired of this track/song feature for tracks that you still enjoy, but don't want to hear again for a while. To find this feature on mobile, tap the album art of the currently playing track, then the three dots on the right. From a computer, click the ellipses near the album art to reveal the option.

Music continues to play when getting a phone call:
Could you tell me a bit more about what is happening?
To clarify, does the music continue to play even after you pick up the phone call?
Or is the issue that music will continue to play while your phone is ringing?
Let me know.
Hey Pandora community,
I've been a Pandora user for almost 7 years, and a couple of my collections are quite extensive at this point (900+ liked songs in one, 300 in another, and a couple other stations).
However, I've noticed for the past 6 months or so that my station is playing songs I've 100% previously liked before but it no longer has them liked (or disliked). This results in my stations playing songs I don't like or missing ones that I do. I've noticed it's getting worse and worse lately as I try to re-like songs that were forgotten.
I've also noticed that many songs are starting to blend from one playlist to another despite being completely different genres.
Have I just overstayed my free account's welcome and I just have to deal with it, or has anyone else dealt with this before?
Thanks fr any help/insight you can provide,
Stephen

No, it's supposedly normal behavior now. I'm a paying customer and I was told (in another thread) that I just gave too many songs a thumbs up on a single station. They said a station only uses the last 100 thumbs up. Funny how this was never a problem before... Oh well, auto renew turned off and I guess it's time to explore some of the other numerous streaming music services.
Hey Adam, thanks for getting back to me. Please see this screenshot where 3/4 of the songs pictured I have thumbed up at least 1 previous time, likely multiple, yet they're still not thumbed up when they went through recently.
I confirmed the songs had been removed from my "Thumbed Up" list in the collection until I re-added them. I have not checked whether or not the ThumbedUp count was increased or not.
For reference, this collection only has 188 songs thumbed up currently but, again, I don't know if thumbing a track up multiple times perpetually adds to that count or not.
Well that would be pretty awful if it was true. I had these stations tuned perfectly to what I wanted and now it's getting annoying to have to re-thumb tracks as they come in again since it's every 3rd or 4th song. Here's hoping to getting a different answer than what you did 😕
@mbrianp I see you posted on this thread here, however you never followed up with the information we requested.

@Gidrakos Thanks so much for sending that over.
I've escalated your feedback to the engineers who are currently looking into this issue.
We appreciate your patience in the meantime!
@mbrianpI'm not sure if that other thread is still active, but you can inform whoever that was that this is not normal and does not really involve the amount of thumbs up. The station I've been having issues on currently has under 100, and other stations I've had problems with have been similar. The time when I upvoted or downvoted also makes little difference - some of my absolute most recent ones are the ones vanishing the most. If whoever spoke to you was someone who works for Pandora then they are not addressing how prevalent this problem is. It's definitely not a feature.
This is the second time it's happened. I dunno if it's due to adjustments on your end - but, when listening to that station on My Station mode, it seems to be very stingy about playing the thumbed up blues tracks that I have on that station. Yes, I'm aware that Avenged Sevenfold is not a blues artist - but I still like having my variety of rock and blues tracks on that station.
It's been pretty good about sticking with the variety I have thumbed up for most of the years I've been on Pandora. It switched at some point, last year - and then you appeared to switched back on your end, so then it's been back to normal for awhile. However, it's then switched back. I took a break from Pandora for a few months, hoping it would switch back eventually. Now, it seems like no matter how many rock tracks I give a thumbs down to on that station, it's still very stingy with playing my thumbed up blues tracks. I have 720 thumbed up tracks at that station, which should provide enough of a variety for that station to play.
On another note, it also appears that certain tracks that I've previously given a thumbs down to come back - and, also, that certain tracks I've previously thumbed up will show up unthumbed.
Anyway, is it possible for you to fix this? Thank you very much!

Avenged Sevenfold Radio:
At this point, I believe starting fresh with a new station would be your best option.
Often times creating a station based off of one of your favorite tracks that play on the original station will yield better results. This will give your station a better starting point of where you are looking to take it.
Otherwise, you can continue to follow the recommendations I provided in my last message to you here.
Hope this helps!
The problem is that, both times, the shift seems to have happened abruptly. The station would go from playing mostly my thumbed up tracks (with an occasional new song here and there) to playing largely my thumbed up rock tracks, with the thumbed up blues tracked played sparingly, and throwing new rock songs at me quite generously whenever I would start skipping over most of the rock tracks (mostly the ones that aren't by Avenged Sevenfold or Five Finger Death Punch) in hopes that more of the thumbed up blues tracks would play. I actually have more thumbed up blues tracks on that station than I do thumbed up rock track.
I was under the impression that the My Station mode was supposed to mostly my thumbed up tracks with an occasional new track thrown in here and there, and that the other station modes were meant to be for when looking for more variety. I currently have 720 thumbed up tracks on that station, and I'm confident that at least 360 of those tracks are blues songs. Foghat (I thumbed up three blues-heavy songs from that artist) may be a bit of a borderline case.
The last time I posted about this, which you linked to, you or someone else were able to switch it back from your end - and then it was good for the next few months (until it switched back). I don't like using playlist mode, because playlist mode uses up more resources on my computer than station mode does.
I could try creating a new station from James Cotton, adding Avenged Sevenfold as a secondary seed to that station, and never using any other station mode besides My Station mode, and see if that works. Either way, I'm very disappointed with the change.
ETA: I'll try other browsers and also try my Android app, in case this is a Firefox issue. This wouldn't be the first time Firefox messed up certain functions, even though I like it best since it's the least resource-heavy.
ETA 1: Appears to be the same issue with Microsoft Edge. I'll check my Android app soon, as I currently have it charging.
This thumbs up went missing as of 12:30 PM, I believe not for the first time.
