Google Home: Won't play Thumbprint Radio

Gortsbud

I used to be able to tell Google home to play thumbprint radio on Pandora. At one point I had to say thumbprint radio station but now Google home simply refuses to play thumbprint radio no matter how I ask for it. I've gotten Google home stuck on it but the minute you ask at the place something else you can't get back until somehow I'm seriously you're able to get it stuck again. Does anyone have an answer for fixing this?

Hi @Gortsbud

Welcome to community!

Can you tell me a little more about your experience?

What happens when you ask Google Home to play your Thumbprint Radio:

  • Does Google acknowledge your voice command, but then doesn't play anything?
  • Does Google not acknowledge the command at all, and nothing happens?
  • Or does Google give you an error message? If so, what does the error message say?

The dialogue goes something like this:

Me: Hey Google Play thumbprint radio on Pandora

Google home: playing music on Pandora

And then music starts to play. What plays is the last thing that it was
told to play.

To get around that I use Pandora on my phone and cast it to that speaker.
On rare occasions, like last night (YAY!), It will play what was being cast
to it the night before, in this case thumbprint radio. The problem of
course is the minute I or anyone else in the house asks for something else
to play I can forget about thumbprint radio for a while unless I cast it
manually.
