I am sitting here at a tv and this is what pandora used to do on my old Samsung tv too. Play one thing, load the next song or add, stall and just sit there for as long as I let it doing absolutely nothing. If I punch pause and then play, even as fast as just a double click on the remote and it plays the next thing and repeats.
it is why I stopped paying for this. It is great except for when I actually want to use it and it completely lets me down
Hi @Musubiboi
Welcome to the Community!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I can understand how frustrating this would be, especially when you're ready to listen to some music.
I checked out your Pandora account, and it looks like you recently connected to a hotel TV. Can you confirm if you're having trouble with the hotel TV or with a TV at home?
If this is happening on the hotel TV, our troubleshooting options may be a little limited. Hotel TVs can sometimes use customized software or configurations that differ from a standard consumer TV.
That said, depending on the make and model of the TV, I'm happy to provide some troubleshooting steps that may help.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.
Hi Tanner,
it is at the hotel tv that I have little control over. But it is a very consistent experience on hotel tvs and on my last tv at home (a Samsung)
not sure that anything can be done but it would be smart for Pandora to pay attention to the broader user experience and how poorly it reflects on the service. Sure there is a Pandora app here but it is awful to use. Better to not have one at all than have one that proves why I shouldn’t want to use it.
(I’ve been using Pandora for a long time because mostly I like it but if this was what I got when I started I would have stopped.)
Hi @Musubiboi
Thanks for following up and for taking the time to share your perspective.
I understand your point, especially since you've experienced similar playback behavior across more than one TV. While troubleshooting options can be limited on hotel TVs, the overall experience you're describing is still valuable feedback.
I'm happy to pass your comments along to our internal teams so they're aware of your experience and concerns with Pandora playback on these devices.
We appreciate you being a longtime listener and taking the time to let us know how this experience has affected your impression of the service.
