Pandora on Roku keeps wanting me to log in every time I start the app. When I try to use the code to log in I get an error page that says, "Server Error. We're sorry, but there has been an unexpected error with our server. Please try again, or visit the Pandora Home Page." When I use email and password, sometimes it works, sometimes not. This has only recently started happening. We've been listening to Pandora on Roku for years.
Thanks.
Moderator Edit: Changing title for clarity
Finally worked for me, here were my steps that worked after all other attempts and procedures didn't. Also to note that the problems all began after resetting my modem and router.
1. Removed Pandora App
2. Did system restart on Roku
3. Re-installed Pandora
4. Login via email address and password on the Roku (not using code).
5. Logged in like normal.
If you don't hear back from me it means it still is working.
Good luck to all.

Hi @Patty1515! Sorry to hear this is happening.
I took a look at your account and see a new Roku connection on 5/22/22. Did you perform any troubleshooting steps? If so, can you let me know what you tried?
Pandora has worked on my Roku for many years but today I get a message that says "unable to automatically sign in. Roku failed to provide the required account information. Please login using email and password." I tried using email and password and that didn't work either. I updated the Pandora app and am on version 5.5 build 4.
@Mnguy To clarify, is this only an issue on your Roku device?
Are you able to sign in using the same email and password on your computer or mobile devices?
Let me know.

In the meantime, it may help to run through a few standard network troubleshooting steps:
If you are still having trouble, please try using the steps in the following link to update your Roku software: https://support.roku.com/article/208755668-how-to-update-the-software-on-your-roku-streaming-device.
Finally, try deleting the Pandora channel from My Channels, and try re-adding it from the Channel Store. (You can find the Remove channel option by pressing the * key on your remote while the Pandora channel is highlighted on the home screen.)
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for your response. It's resolved itself on the Roku and right now we're having no issues. However, I just tried to log into pandora.com on my Samsung tablet and I got an error code "invalid request". Whatever. It's working ok on Roku now.
Thanks Tanner. After a couple days of this, it appears to have resolved itself and is working now.
@Patty1515 Glad to hear things are back up and running again.
If this continues to be an issue down the line, please make sure to reach back out to us and let us know.
Thanks for listening!
As I understand it, this is still a bug...? Please see Case #: 04150946
@mkammes Are you still having trouble?
Mine is fixed and fine now.
@TannerPandora Yes. I believe that ticket is still open, and there has been no change on this side when trying to use the Roku Channel. Sorry to jump in on this thread, it just seemed the only one that was applicable!
Thanks!
@mkammes Just to confirm, you haven't been able to log into Pandora, because you receive the error right at the beginning?
You may have already done this but can you send over a picture of what you're seeing when you try and log in. Thanks!
Hi @TannerPandora - should we move this to a new thread?
Do you have access to Case #: 04150946? Pandora and I have this documented extensively including multiple pictures and steps to reproduce. Thanks!
@mkammes If you're still receiving the log in error, we can keep it in this thread. I'll reach out to the support team for a follow up.
Thanks for your patience!
Yes @TannerPandora , I am still unable to (re) pair the Roku to my Pandora account with the code provided by Roku. The same error messages persist, both on the Roku channel, as well as attempting to add the Roku device via the Pandora mobile app.
As a side note, I was able to add the Android App on my Sony TV to my Pandora account yesterday with zero issues.
Good to know, @mkammes. Thanks for the info. 👍
I'm having the same issue. Says "Roku failed to provide required account information." I've tried both the code activation and directly entering my email/pswd. I'm using a TCL tv with Roku software.
@luckbydesign To clarify, is this only an issue on your Roku device?
Are you able to sign in using the same email and password on your computer or mobile devices?
Let me know.

I bought a new ROKU - model 4802X. I can watch other channels, but when I try to run Pandora first it says that it cannot login automatically. Then it gives me an option to log in via e-mail for a split second, then ROKU crashes. To get back to the starting point I have to re-setup the new ROKU.
I replied to the OP. ROKU updates there buggy **ahem** software every time I try to start Pandora.
