bought a new tv, and pandora worked fine until recently, as an app on an old tivo. none of the fixes found online work or are possible. any suggestions?

I checked your Pandora account and it looks like a Tivo was last associated back in 2014. Let’s try removing the device so we can generate a new activation code. Then have you log back in and try again. Please be patient as this may not happen instantaneously.
