I saw your post while looking for how to complain about the ads. I was enjoying the music only for a DHS ad to play which is highly negative. I am not affected and was offended. I listen for fun not toxic politics. It’s not good business to insult the audience I am listening to Apple Music instead.

Dear Pandora Support,

I am writing to express my disappointment with the advertisements I keep hearing about deportation. As a result, I will no longer be listening to Pandora.

If you do not want to listen to my concerns, I don't see why I should continue to listen to your platform. Thank you for ignoring my previous posts about this issue.

I understand that my decision to stop using Pandora may not make a significant difference to your company. However, it will at least allow me to feel that I am doing the right thing. I can easily switch to Amazon Music or Spotify, both of which have fewer ads.

I keep getting political ads and I am not happy with the type of ads that are being presented to me. I want to know how I can mark it as not interested because these ads do not align with my views. I do want to allow explicit content on my pandora because some music I like have an occasional F word and sometimes the language is strong. I don't believe I should have to change my preference in music because of the ad situation. There should be a button to mark it as not interested so i can get different type of ads.

Why is the Kristi Noem immigration ad on pandora?? What is pandora telling us? Are you anti-immigration? I sent an email about this to customer service and they said theyd forward my complaint to the ad dept but it seems the appearance of the ad has just increased. I’m banning the pandora app. I can’t believe they are so openly anti immigrant and are airing such a threatening message. I’m not dealing with apps that don’t share my values and beliefs.

I am appalled by the politics ads supporting Trump racist anti immigration political ads.  We already know there have been unlawful detentions even to legal immigrants as well as inhumane conditions for undocumented immigrants without criminal background an undocumented  immigration is a civil matter. Children nd women subjected to sleep deprivation, crowded cells, cold showers, undue process, and many more. I am canceling my subscription to Pandora. I will not support this kind of atrocious ads and propaganda.

The Kristi Noem ads threatening immigrants are offensive, hostile and racist. After years of hearing hardware store and auto parts ads, these are of an entirely different nature. They have no business on a music streaming platform and demonstrate shockingly bad judgement on the part of Pandora. Keep running them and you will see a drop in listenership.

I also refuse to listen to hate ads. PANDORA do better! I will erase your app and will make sure I tell everyone I know to do the same.

Can’t be shocked these days, but still…Listening to my fave Hispanic music stations (La Ley, Enanitos, Arjona, you get the pic) and I got this awful ad about deportation. I can’t. I CAN’T. How did this happen? And by “this” I don’t mean the ad; I mean how did this escoria get elected? Can’t even call it a person.

I love music and have used Pandora since its inception. That being said, I do not wish to hear any political propaganda from any side of the spectrum. And especially today with this far-right extremism (Fascism, not republicans). I am a moderate, an independent, I am read up on my life and my choices. I do not need anyone trying to influence me either way. I want to hear what is relevant, which is what your algorithm used to be. I do not wish to have political ads on my feed.

Listening to kids Pandora station and a completely inappropriate anti-immigration ad comes on. Not the first time. It’s threatening and political. I love the app and understand the need for ads for nonpaying subscribers but don’t need to hear hateful speech between kids songs. Not ready to talk to toddler about Kristi Noem’s scary leave-the-county voice plus I find it deeply disturbing. There should be a line. 

I close the app when I hear it. It’s been 3 times. Will delete app if inappropriate ads continue.

I wasn't sure what to do when I heard the ad that everyone is talking about recently. I thought maybe it was my fault cause I was listening to a country station. But reading the above comments, it looks like it doesn't matter what I listen to since it appears to be on all the stations.

I mean it's fine if you have to stoop so low as to accept money from those types of people, I know this is a dying site. At least let me block ads I don't want to listen to. In the meantime, I guess I'll go listen to music elsewhere.

I enabled the button, but the adds I get do not change. We should be able to filter adds to match our interests, I thought algorithms did this automatically. I get Trump's rapists and murders hateful add every 20 minutes.  I cant play pandora with my children near me.  I would like to remove any political related adds. Could we please have the option to pick the adds we prefer, like shoes and rainbows.

The ads from this racist woman are so aggressive and disturbing! Is there no way to stop? I’m a Pandora user for over a decade and I have never been so disturbed listening to it. 
I guess leaving Pandora is the way? Despicable!

Remove all racists and fascist DHS ads

It's deplorable that for a few dollars Pandora lent itself to promote racists and fascists propaganda. Today I was targeted by one of those ads. I demand for those ads to be removed and the firing of whoever approved the ads. 

Pandora refuses to publicly address their open support for racist and xenophobic fascist propaganda. The complaints go back several months and has refused to remove the ads from the platform. Disgusting company.

Why do I only receive immigration commercials while my other friends who have Pandora do not? Is it because I have Mexican music in my list, I see this as isolating me & being biased & racist because I am an American citizen who has parents from Mexico. Please address for Spotify does not do this for I see it as hate propaganda on me.

Why is Pandora allowing immigration commercials to only people who have ties to Latin American. Other friends of mine who are white or black do not have these commercials, this is why others are switching to spotify

Dear Pandora Support,

I am writing to express my disappointment with the deeply negative advertisements I keep hearing about deportations and illegal immigration. It is very unfortunate that you have decided to participate in the dissemination of this atrocious propaganda. 

I'm not personally affected by the current political antiimmigration sentiment in any form. It is obvious that you are targeting people to receive this propaganda based on their Spanish music preferences. I do find this deeply offensive and prejudiced.

I listen to music for fun not toxic politics. As a result, I will no longer be listening to Pandora and will be deleting my account shortly.
