Google Play: Plus Subscription Rate Change

Can anyone tell me why, if the OS isn't changing and they're are not offering anything new other than the price. Why is there a price increase? Pandora hasn't changed in years and it still needs improvement and if your going to raise the prices without focusing on improving, than you're just another corporation raising money for your CEO's...

Just notified that Pandora is increasing cost for subscription again. 

Posted is the 14% cost increase, but not posted is what I'm getting as the consumer for that cost increase. 

Has anything changed in the same music Im listening to to justify the increase cost? Is there more music to listen to? 

Curious.
