Upgraded to Premium and I'm Now Limited to One Device Only

peekabooca

I've listened to ad-sponsored Pandora for free for years. I steam from multiple devices simultaneously with no warnings for exceeding my number of devices. I've now upgraded to ad-free Pandora premium and continuously get error messages that another device is logged onto Pandora and I need to wait until it's safe to resume playing on my current device. How do I continue enjoying my service without having to upgrade to the family plan? I"m a single person--and I like to listen from my Alexa devices around the house, on my phone and in my car. Thanks

Hi @peekabooca

Welcome to community!

I hope you've been enjoying your Premium subscription. While you can log into as many supported device as you like, you won't be able to listen to Pandora Premium on multiple devices as the same time. Your subscription will only cover the cost of one stream to one device, per Pandora account.

Each internet-connected device used to access Pandora receives its own unique stream of personalized music. Similar to other online streaming services, our music licenses limit our ability to stream from a single account on more than one device at a time. For now, the only way to get the same stream to play in different locations is to play Pandora using a system that groups multiple speakers.

If you're moving locations, for example from your home to your car, you'll need to stop playback on the device that's currently playing, in order to start Pandora on another device.

Hope this helps to explain.
