Hi, I’ve been a Pandora customer since the company started, and I’ve never had an issue until this week. I’m now dealing with multiple problems on my HomePod that I cannot resolve despite extensive troubleshooting:
1. SIRI CAN’T FIND STATIONS: Asking Siri to play any station (e.g. “Beach Boys Radio”) or genre (e.g. “60s music”) on Pandora returns “can’t find it,” even though the stations exist in my account. This started suddenly after working fine for years.
2. PLAYBACK CUTS OUT WHEN PHONE LOCKS: When AirPlaying from the Pandora app to my HomePod, playback stops as soon as my phone’s screen locks (e.g. when I walk outside).
3. “CONNECT WITH HOMEPOD” BUTTON IS UNRESPONSIVE: In the Pandora app (Profile > Settings), tapping “Connect with HomePod” does nothing at all — no response, no error. In the Home app, Pandora appears in my HomePod’s music services list next to Apple Music, but tapping it does nothing except offer “Remove.”
4. POSSIBLE ACCOUNT SYNC ISSUE: The Pandora app shows my account as “linked with Alexa,” but the Alexa app shows Pandora as “disabled/not enabled.” This mismatch may be related to the HomePod connection failing.
What I’ve already tried, none of which fixed anything:
• Removed and re-linked Pandora in the Home app multiple times
• Checked Pandora’s Siri & Search permissions in iPhone Settings (all enabled)
• Turned off “Recognize My Voice” on the HomePod
• Fully factory reset the HomePod and set it up again from scratch
• Deleted and reinstalled the Pandora app, then tried reconnecting
• Attempted to unlink/relink the Alexa connection to clear the sync mismatch
• Contacted Apple Support, who confirmed this is not an issue on their end and pointed to Pandora
Since this all worked fine until recently and none of these fixes have helped, I believe this is an account or server-side issue that needs to be looked at directly. Could someone check the connection status and sync state on my account?
Thank you.
