Hi @KBBB , thanks for posting! Can you tell me a bit more about this?
Are you pausing the app and closing it before locking your screen, or are you just pausing the app before locking the screen?
Can you tell me the make and model of your phone?
Can you please share me a screenshot of what you are seeing?
Let me know!

This is amazing! Thanks for sharing these gems that you have found. I haven't been able to listen to listen to even a quarter of the songs because they are so good that I end up diving into the artists discography 🤣. I totally get why they ended up on your playlist. Still, I'm pretty sure I will listen to it until the end even if it takes me a month!

Hi @AngelaMCmusic ! Hope the transition with the new company goes smoothly and that you can get the dates soon! I'm also glad to hear you finally got your Disturbed stuff! The Sicknesss in an excellent album. Although I have to admit that when it was released I was like naah, but it was my pre-adolescence phase where I would do and like all the opposite things that my sister liked... And I felt like such a "rebel". 🤣 Didn't know it was his birthday tomorrow!! He has a great voice.
Thanks for sharing!

@Kimberlyn
Hi Kim! Totally agree, is very difficult to choose just one genre or favorite song. I also love stations as they can show you lots of new music just as @DustBast mentioned. _
@For_Riehl
I think I have never listened to Adam Ant. In general I don't really know about new wave artists, is there a song that you would recommend? At the moment it's not possible to import to Pandora your music collection from an external music source, but you may want to check and upvote this idea: Ideas: Import/export music from or to other platforms. I also want to note that our AMP support is directed to artists and managers that want to upload their content to Pandora. Thanks for sharing, David! __
@Lady-Bug27
Welcome to the community Myrah! Yeah music is the best therapy. I've got times when I listen to a song that I like sooo much that I set it to replay multiple times. I think it is great that you can set to replay one specific song or a whole album or playlist. __
@JessanneS
That's amazing Jessanne! I'm glad to hear you are better now, I follow some artists on social media that also experience synesthesia and the art pieces they make are sooo beautiful. I think it is something really fascinating and wonderful. Also, about being a musician, you can always learn to play any instrument, doesn't matter if you start at 6 or 60. The most important for music is practice, patience and passion in my opinion. __
Thanks for sharing and I hope to see you all around!

Hi @squidwink , thanks for your post and welcome to the Pandora Community! We are always happy to clarify any questions you may have about Pandora. First, I want to note that Pandora works a bit different to other music streaming apps as it is mainly focused on music discovery, so it has been designed to introduce you to new music based on the songs you already know and love. So, with that in mind, I would like to explain you the difference between Stations and Playlists. Stations are created based on a chosen song or artist and are intended to work as personalized and adaptable radio-like stations that will show you songs inspired on the song/artist you used to create a station. Stations are also guided by thumb feedback or added seeds and will evolve considering the feedback given, so while listening to a station you can thumb up or down songs from the Now Playing screen to help us learn what to play next. Playlists, on the other hand, are created by listener's choice. This means you can add only the songs you want to hear, and sequence the playlist yourself. So the main difference between these two is that Stations automatically generated and edited based on your feedback and are intended for you to discover new music and not worry about what to play next, while Playlists are predefined list of songs you may already know and that can be edited but, in general, you already know the playlist content. Now rewinding a little bit, Pandora's main intention is for you to discover new music, so you can create and listen to stations almost without any type of restrictions, but Playlist are an extra feature that, given the music permissions and royalties required, is only available for Premium subscribers. You can check our Pandora Subscriptions FAQ to learn about the differences between our Ad-supported service, and our subscriptions: Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium. I also wanted to note that as a Free (or Plus) listener you can temporarily unblock Premium-only features, like playlists and on-demand listening, by starting a Premium access session. You will be prompted watch an ad to unlock Premium access if you:
Click a link shared through Pandora emails, social posts, push notifications, or messages from our ad partners
Search our for a song, playlist or album, and click play.
So, when you mention that you are able to listen without issues and minimal ads you may be listening stations but when you mention that it refuses to play and invites you to watch an ad instead, you may be trying to listen to a playlist, album or an on-demand song. Upgrading to Premium or accepting a Premium session is completely optional; so you can close the ad and a station will be created for you to listen to instead. Considering this, it also sounds like you may be rejecting our prompts to start a Premium access session, so it ends up creating a brand new station instead of playing the content you want. For more information on how Pandora Premium Sessions work, you can view this article. Hope this helps clarify.

Hi @Klbishop611. I moved your post over to the Other Devices space since this issue sounds specific to your Alexa device and the other space is specific for issues when streaming through our website. Can you tell me more about your Alexa and about what's happening?
What's the model of your Alexa? Also is it on only one device or are there multiple Alexa devices at the same time with the same issue?
When it resumes does it skips to the next song or just a few seconds after within the same song?
Do you receive an error message?
In the meantime, if you haven't, please try running through the following troubleshooting steps:
Check to see if there are any updates available for your Alexa and Pandora apps. Update both as necessary.
Restart your Alexa device by unplugging the power source and plugging it back in.
Try unlinking and relinking your Pandora account via the Alexa app.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi @Rxnin , there are many songs that have a deeper meaning and are really good songs. I know many people look down on K-pop but they have many deep and songs. Currently I'm thinking of Nxde by G(i)-dle, which talks about how artists, and may also include influencers and people on social media in general, are always criticized and on a deep scrutiny by their peers and how even when they their image or way of living is criticized they also fetishize them and treat them like an object.

I adopted a cat! 😸 Or from the cat's perspective, he was abducted by me 🙀. I have always had dogs, but always wanted to adopt a cat. I have always loved them but my parents don't really like them, so I was able to do this at last!

Hi @Listener001 , I think there are many reasons. First, derived from what @Rxnin mentioned about the 5 dollar shirt at Walmart, since it is such an iconic and representative band of the 90's and many 90's kids (as me) are now adults with adult money, big stores like Walmart start selling shirts with the logo and the album art on them to appeal to the nostalgia of it. Same reason why so many brands, even luxury brands, have been launching so many anime-related (specially Naruto) and 90's and 2000's cartoon collections. Related to this, many 90's teens may currently have their own teenagers who are developing their own personalities and taste in music and style, and who may be looking for something more alternative/unique/vintage (at least in their eyes) to feel cool or to try something different. I also consider that Nirvana has became like a staple group for edgy kids, not only on the 90's, so there's that. Also, just as @AlyssaPandora mentioned, we have to admit that Nirvana's logo and album arts are really cool. For example, I personally love the art of the In Utero album so even if I didn't like their music, I would love to have a shirt with that album art.

Hi @C5657 , welcome to the community! I moved your post to one of our support spaces as the thread you originally posted on is to introduce yourself to the rest of the community. Can you tell me more about this?
If it's happening on a mobile device:
What is the make and model (and carrier, if applicable)?
What happens when you open Pandora?
Is there an error message? If yes, what exactly does it say?
Can you send a screenshot of what you're seeing?
Let me know.

@Axteller , Question: What's something you'd tell to your pet it understood you?
Answer: I love you too but please don't Bite Me just because you don't want me to go to work 😾.
Next Question: Now that we are aproximating to Spring, what's your favorite flower or plant?

I must say I was always a musically inclined child, so, if we want to talk about the very first album I loved, I would need to talk about my mom's CD with the songs of the musical Romeo et Juliette, de la haine a l'amour. After that I got obsessed with some of my sister's albums: Cult by Apocalyptica and Fallen by Evanescence And then, finally talking about my albums, Finisterra by Mago de Oz. This last one was my very first album, and I couldn't stop listening to it.

I love listening to music on different languages, even if is not a language I currently understand. I also like when they mix languages in a song or play with some words in a language but that can sound like other words in a different one like to change the intention and meaning of the song. Here are some suggestions of songs by different artists I like:
🇫🇷 Paris En Hiver - L.E.J
🇫🇮 Ikkunaprinsessa -Ville Valo and the Agents
🇷🇺 Sozvezdie Angela - Jah Kalib
🇪🇸 La Dama del Amanecer (Kelpie) - Mago de Oz
🇹🇭🇰🇷(eng) Mirror Mirror (feat. Changbin (Stray Kids))- F.HERO & Milli
🇧🇷 Sua Cara (feat. Anitta & Pabllo Vittar)
@amendez , now that you mentioned the song A quoi ça sert l'amour I remember my mom used to play it a lot when I was still a toddler. And there's a cover that I liked a lot and I think it was this one: A quoi ca sert l'amour - Gérard Luc et Sylvie Lucu. Also thinking of songs form other languages listened to with my parents: Quimbara by Celia Cruz.
