Disable autoplay not an option

Mac OS 12.7.6 Monterey. Under settings, I don't have an "Advanced" button or option, so I can't turn off Autoplay.

Advice?

Hi @danajg007 , can you please tell me more about what you are trying to do so I can help you?

I checked the account linked to your Community Profile, and it looks like it is currently upgraded to Pandora Plus, not Premium, so the auto-play option is not currently available on your account.

You see, with autoplay we'll start playing similar content based on whatever you were just listening to. AutoPlay keeps playing what you already love, while also recommending new discoveries that we know you'll love next, however this feature is only available on Premium, not on Plus.

Pandora Premium listeners will automatically have access to the feature, and can manage AutoPlay at the bottom of any track, album, podcast or playlist, or from their Settings.

Let me know!

I have the same issue!  If I understand correctly, I need to pay for a sub to turn the auto play feature off?

Hi @Khal, thanks for your post!

Not quite, the Autoplay function in general is only available for Premium subscriptions, so in order to have access to this feature and therefore to be able to activate or deactivate this feature you need to have Premium subscription.

Now, let me elaborate a bit more on this.

In general, the Autoplay function will start playing similar content based on whatever you were just listening to. AutoPlay keeps playing what you already love, while also recommending new discoveries that we know you'll love next, based on the specific content that you chose just before, but this listening session won't be automatically added to your collection.

So, if you search a specific song/playlist/album and press play, once that song/playlist/album is over Pandora will start suggesting songs related to that song/playlist/album.

For example, if I play Baby one more time by Britney Spears, it will follow up with another Britney song and/or other songs by other similar artists, like 2000's Christina Aguilera, 2000's Jennifer Lopez, etc. But this won't be saved on my profile. If I want this to be saved I will need to create a station based on that same song instead.

The reason why that feature is only available only for Premium is because it was thought specifically for on-demand content and playlists (both of which are only available for Premium subsribers), because they have a finite and pre-defined content, so this feature was added so music doesn't just stop when the song/album/playlists end and so you can continue to vibe with the mood.

Now that this has been clarified, can you confirm if this is what you meant? Otherwise can you tell me more of what you want to stop or change? Is your pandora playing on moments you don't want to? Or does it starts playing automatically when connecting to your car stereo?

Let me know and I'll be happy to help you with that!
