SoulPhyreII

While listening to a station on Pandora with cellular data, it suddenly stopped playing.  I checked and use cellular data is selected I have plenty of data available.  I have rebooted the phone (didn't work). Uninstalled and reinstalled the app.  I have the lasted update for iPhone.  Pandora just only works with WiFi now.  Please help!

Greetings Alyssa

I updated my iPhone to the most recent version of iOS (15.0.1) but that
didn’t solve the problem. I then issued the reset network settings command
and everything started to work just fine

I had previously toggled WiFi on and off; toggled cellar on and off; and
even powered the phone off. Apparently none of those actually resets the
network settings

Just letting you know so you can tell other Pandora customers who are
having this problem

Regards
Rick

here's the solution for Playing Pandora while using cellular data

1. go to your settings and turn-off the wi-fi

2. start Pandora

this is the only solution that I've found that works for me.

Had the same problem! I’ve heard these restrictions on mobile cellular data were put, because of the multiple cases of expensive cellular data in the US and how children were spending it unknowingly. However, in my country it is so cheap, we sometimes stay on it even at home.
I found a good solution on Multitechverse. You need to go into the Settings of your iphone, find the cellular data and put a tick at the pandora using cellular data. Also you could do that from the app itself. It’s not hard, so I’m sure you’ll solve your problem quickly!

Hi @WilliamhGibsona 👋

Thanks for reporting and letting us know.

Just to be sure are you located in the United States? If not, Sadly, we can only legally offer Pandora services to listeners located in the United States at this time. Which is why you might be experiencing issues when playing Pandora.

This applies equally to free and paid accounts, as well as Pandora on all computers and supported devices, including offline.

Audio content streaming regulations differ from country to country, and we are still working on acquiring the proper licenses so we can offer Pandora in even more places around the world.

++++

However, if you are located in the United States please, let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if this will help.

I've enabled a trace on your account and for this trace to be helpful please complete our iOS Troubleshooting Steps.

Lastly, if you're still having trouble playing Pandora out of wifi, Could you tell me more about your device?

  • Device & Generation: (e.g. iPhone X, iPad Air (3rd gen), etc.)
  • Carrier:
  • iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
  • Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

Thanks for your help with this. 🤝
