Sorry to hear that you're running into the buffering issue.

First, I would recommend uninstalling / reinstalling using these steps: iOS Troubleshooting

If you continue to have trouble, could you please share your device details? I can pass these along to our engineers:

  • Device & Generation: 
  • Carrier:
  • iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
  • Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
  • Have any other error messages popped up?

Suddenly when I try to play a song on Pandora it just sets there buffering without playing.

I have deleted the app.  Reinstalled the app and the buffering still continues.

I have an iPhone 6s Plus.

I have tried both Wi-Fi and Cellular Data.

Solved: Just an update -- the above completely solved my problem and it has not come back. 

If you're still having trouble, make sure you try my solution as it solved the problem for me permanently.

I too am experiencing endless buffering after upgrading to iPhone 13. I don't see any actual responses with solutions, only that this will be report to 'engineering'. is engineering responding to each issue individually? After many years of subscribing, My subscription payment is due in a few days. This is very frustrating, for which I'm seriously considering cancelling, if I cant resolve quickly. Thank you!

Troubleshooting:

I've enabled a trace on your account in case we need to share this with our engineering team. I would recommend running through these steps: iOS Troubleshooting 

Often times, the troubleshooting steps help resolve the issue. If you continue to have trouble, it's helpful to know:

I'm having the same "always buffering" problem.  My device is an iphone SE running iOS 15.6.1.  My carrier is AT&T.  The Pandora version is 2208.1.

 

This problem started a couple of days ago.  I've deleted and reinstalled the app, toggled the cellular data tab and all of the other suggestions from the prior post.  Nothing has worked.  I've used Pandora for years without a problem.  Why now?

@alcz To clarify, does the app only buffer when using cellular data?

Or does it also buffer when on WiFi?

Lately Pandora radio seems to buffer all the time. It takes forever to load when you’re trying to search for something. I’m an A/V tech I’ve tried everything in my power turning off Wi-Fi using only cellular using Wi-Fi when at home and not cellular. All my other apps work well and load as expected. I have been a customer for a very long time. Premium family subscription. Due to pressure from my kids and the fact that your service lately is poor i am considering leaving.

I have one station that is stuck on buffering on my iPhone, while other stations play fine, and this station plays OK on my MacBook.

Does this happen in offline mode? Or, when you're listening to stations normally?

Also, do you receive any other error messages? If so, what exactly does it say?
