@Paulmcmaster I'm not Pandora tech support, but I have been in a few binds myself using the Pandora app. So, try some of these steps that might help ease your frustration.

Here are the most effective workarounds:

1. Force Close Pandora

  • After pausing the music, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold to open the app switcher.

  • Swipe up on Pandora to fully close it.

  • This usually removes the lock screen player immediately.

2. Restart the Device

  • A quick restart can clear lingering widgets that don’t disappear on their own.

3. Disable Notifications (Optional)

  • Go to Settings > Notifications > Pandora and toggle off “Allow Notifications.”

  • This won’t remove the player, but can reduce other lock screen clutter.

4. Check Bluetooth Settings

  • If the issue happens with CarPlay or Bluetooth devices, go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the “i” next to the device, and choose Forget This Device. Then reconnect.

5. Pandora-Specific Setting: Launch from Car

  • Open Pandora > Tap Profile > Settings (gear icon) > Advanced.

  • Uncheck Launch from Car under Bluetooth settings.

Hope this helps. Have a blessed day. Take care and GOD bless.
