iOS: Siri Doesn't Announce Texts when Listening to Pandora

while listening to Pandora, i am unable to get a response when i say "hey Siri, read text"

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to correct this?

actually, as i am listening thru my iphone bluetooth Pandora, a notification of a text may appear on my iphone. when I say "hey siri, read text" the phone doesn't hear me.  this doesnt exist when i am not using pandora, so pandora somehow shuts out my voice command to "read text"

• Carrier:
• iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
• Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
• Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?
• Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

bluetooth connected to 2018 jeep wrangler

ATT is carrier

IOS ver 15.6

Pandora version 2206.1

typically almost always connected to cellular data

no other problems

Thought I would put this out there.  I was not receiving iphone text/WhatsApp/phone call notifications when playing Pandora and connected to a Bluetooth speaker.  The solution for me was to go to Settings > Notifications > Pandora and turning notifications on.

For reference, this applied to an iPhone 14 running iOS 17.3.1 in March 2024.
