Rock and non-jazz songs are increasingly appearing on Jazz and Miles Davis stations. I don’t dislike these songs — they simply don’t belong in this context. The problem is that Pandora only offers Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down. Using Thumbs Down incorrectly signals that I dislike the song itself, potentially affecting recommendations across my entire account. 🎛️ Current state (broken) • 👍 Thumbs Up = “More like this everywhere” • 👎 Thumbs Down = “Less of this (maybe everywhere)” • ❌ No way to say: “Fine song, wrong room” ✅ Proposed solution: Contextual Feedback Control Add a third icon next to 👍 👎: 🧭 “Wrong station” (tooltip: “This song doesn’t fit this station”) Behavior rules (important): • Removes the song only from this station • Does not affect: • Artist affinity • Other stations • Global taste profile • Trains station boundaries instead of taste Optional refinement (power-user gold) Long-press 🧭 → submenu: • Wrong genre • Wrong era • Too far outside core artist • Experimental / fusion bleed-over Even one generic “Wrong station” option would solve 80% of the problem.
