have you seen the date of the 1st request? it's over a year ago. clearly Pandora HAS answered the request and the answer is "we don't care". the obvious answer to THEIR answer now requires subscriber dollars moving to other platforms that DO provide this feature, and maybe account safeguards that prevent tampering with your stations/playlists to spur them to action. too bad, I've been with Pandora for about 10 years and done allot of work to create my stations, would hate to start over, especially since I think their "music genome" while not PERFECT is about the best categorization for similar stuff out there amongst the platforms. oh well, I and my wallet will have to think about this

I also support this, although I realize there might be storage limitations. but I think say the last 100 songs should be viable. and that would help me with my classic rock station especially; I thumb up a song once and don't realize I thumbed it up again off a greatest hits album, and a music anthology, and a soundtrack, and their next greatest hits album, and their singles album, and their box set, all of which Pandora seem to consider as different songs. do I need to point out the remixes?

"With that in mind, you might consider giving us the ability to forcefully log out all devices on the account via Settings menu as I've seen with other streaming services." absolutely! if you want us to enter our password to verify we are the account owner 1st, fine, but the ability to remotely boot other users would be awesome. goes with my open request to play pandora but in a lock mode where noone can add/edit/remove stations without a password or some other means of demonstrating they are the actual account owner

based on the fact the only reply to this 5 month old request from pandora is a thank you for submitting it, despite quite a number of likes and not one reply disagreeing with you I would say either a. their reply is "screw you" OR b. in answer to jimmy's question about how many likes/posts for them to act the answer is 4,379

so, I loaded my pandora account onto my work computer at an eldercare group home so I can play music for my elderly residents. unfortunately that means that the other workers have access to add stations or variety to existing stations and they are too stupid to realize that in a house full of all white people over 70 hip-hop and modern R & B are NOT well received. plus it's my account and I'd rather stick a 1 inch wood boring drill bit in my urethra without anesthesia than listen to Beyoncé, and I find her music positively delightful compared to Cardi B. is there a way to secure my account there so that I still have ad free playback but noone can add stations or modify my existing stations except me? like require my login to confirm EVERY change? or at least an "undo" command that would allow me to blanket remove all changes since a particular date and time? don't get me wrong, what I REALLY want is the ability to filter my entire account to not play anything flagged as "hip-hop" or whatever across the entire account, including my existing stations with 1 click. yeah, I know if I turned on the explicit content filter it would block about 90% of all hip-hop but I WANT the explicit content in my other stations so not an option

same problem as always, successfully define explicit for all listeners. even worse if you want to include "suggestive". and there are of course artists who are smarter than the censors, AC/DC's "Big Balls" and Primus' "Wynonna's Big Brown Beaver" immediately come to mind. I have exactly the opposite issue, I DON'T want the sanitized version of a song on my station (if the artist wrote an F-bomb at that point in a song I assume it was because they wanted it there), but I generally manage that by just thumbing down the "radio edit" if it ever plays while thumbing up the real version.

Singer Songwriters? you MUST check out Harry Chapin then if you haven't yet. just wish Pandora was a bit more Album instead of Singles oriented, so many songs that are awesome by any artist are on their albums but never released as singles. because you are missing out if you never get the chance to hear "Circle" off of Chapin's Greatest Stories Live album

try a band called MTNS, they popped up on my Cocteau Twins station and I liked "Fears" so much I made a new station from them, now Mr Kitty and Dawn Golden and a whole bunch more are making me have some happy nights after work

that already works OP, is it possible your station's genres are similar enough that you'll get crossover anyway? or not customized enough yet that they'll throw out anything? because-as an example-I have a station I play at the eldercare group home I work at that plays pretty much everything from 1940 to about 1982 but I have specifically thumbed down any punk rock on it, at he same time I have an old school punk station and not once has it tried to throw in The Andrews Sisters-the basis for the 1st station I mentioned. it takes ALLOT of thumbing to fully customize a station to your liking, and you CAN screw it up. I had to fix my classic rock station, the 1st Led Zepplin song it ever played was Cashmere but it was the cover by p diddy I think, I thumbed it down and then I wasn't getting any LZ songs, not cool. so I added LZ manually and now I can thumb down the hip hop covers to my heart's content and still get my "Ramble On" fix

not to step on your toes but you can start with the premise that music is the 2nd best form of communication there is (extemporaneous dancing to music being THE best). the reason it's so good is that music speaks to both the rational part of the brain, e.g. the lyrics, the emotional via the rhythm and melody and the creative via the entire soundscape, the only reason dancing freeform extemporaneous is superior is it incorporates body language AND it bypasses the barriers we humans tend to always keep up, even with those we love. or at least it all has that potential... good luck yeah, I've thought about this topic allot over the years

it's called "catharsis" and it's any activity we do to get past the bad, whether it be anger or grief or pain or whatever. it's very healthy and you can do it proactively as well

completely dependent on mood but most of the time I would say "Let Me Lie to You" by the Afghan Whigs, it's based on the premise that the only people we bother to lie to are those we care about, the more we care the bigger the lie, because noone else is worth the effort. I like stuff with a little thought behind it, kinda how one of the most beautiful love poems ever is "The Flea", seriously, look it up

I also miss them, when they were used constructively! I was just listening to an Eva Cassidy tune and wanted to comment. Now, I LOVE Eva-hence the reason she's in the station with several thumbs up, duh-but I was going to comment on the "similar artists". I don't really have any issue with most of the ladies there and their music, just with calling them "similar"; with the presumable exception of having been born with female organs they really had little if anything in common with her. to be honest, who did? even her bio points out that she was to ecclectic to pin down her genre, if any. see, that's a problem. just as a few others exist. I was listening to another station I created and in the last week I added Missing Persons and Berlin (love their early stuff), this is a late 70's early 80's alternative/dance station mostly, today up pops Michael Jackson?! I detest Michael and with the exception of the timing on the release I have no idea what he's supposed to have to do with the station. I wish there was a quicker way to bar an artist or a song from a station than waiting for another song by him to show up so I can thumb it down again. same issue with remixes/edits. I like the Kygo song "This Town", unfortunately some idiot thought it was a good idea to let Gucci Mane into the edit, ruining it. now, I can delete the edit, but I can't get the original, unruined song into that station. it would be nice to say so in a place where people can read it.
