Nonsense. The question is about 5.1 encoding.  It's not at all complicated. They either DO embed 5.1 encoding data, or they do not. Whether or not the system that is being used can process that encoding is an entirely secondary question (but, should also not be complicated).  There is an encoding standard.  It isn't brand-specific.
