Gave the new app 2411.1 a good testing today and here are the remaining deficiencies: - The Pandora app is supposed to connect with the 'Now Playing' app in the Apple CarPlay. Which will open and load the Pandora app and start playing music and open the Pandora interface in the main screen. This is not the case! The music DOES start playing, but the Pandora app does not open and get placed into the main screen. You either have to tap on the Now Playing icon, or the Pandora app icon to physically open the app into the screen. Even when this is done manually, and the app opens into the main screen, it still does not show what is playing. You have to select the Shuffle Tile (if using) or whatever channel you are playing to have the app show what is playing. - Another item. If you do not select the Now Playing icon or the Pandora app icon in CarPlay, after about 10 minutes, the music just stops and you have to reload the Pandora app. This is using an iPhone 15 with iOS 18.1.1 on a 2022 BMW X1 with version 7 of the BMW OS. I really don't think that engineering/management at Pandora actually reads or knows anything about this forum. It's not like the moderator actually does their job. My suggestion, flood the support email address with emails about the compatibility issues.  ... View more

Went into settings, CarPlay, selected vehicle, then customize. Tried moving to the Pandora app up on the list to the top hoping that it might make a difference- nada, bupkis. Then did a forget this car and reloaded/paired with the car - SOS. Worth a try 😞  ... View more

You're correct, this is nothing WE should have to do. They took a perfectly functioning app and reduced to a limping app from 10 years ago technology. In my state, we have distracted driving laws, and fiddling with my phone while driving is NOT an option. So, my family plan is coming up for renewal. Pandora has not done diddly to help the users and has not even fessed up to the issue. Therefore, have not offered any compensation for the pain and suffering - kinda makes my mind up on renewal! Upgraded to version 2409.1 of the Pandora app. Thanks for not notifying me of the available update Pandora 😠.  So, the new version kind of works. Now, when the car is turned on and Apple car play initializes. I at least get the recent window that has shuffle along with my stations. BUT, it still does not switch to the what's playing and if you leave it on the recent window, you get the error message THERE WAS A PROBLEM LOADING THIS CONTENT. In order to get what's playing, you have to hit the little multibar icon in the upper left.   Keep working on it, you'll get it eventually. Just don't pull a Sonos cluster with the app please.    ...
