Closing it works fine in most cases. Closing it out among all the apps i have open each time i need to turn it off is pretty high maintenance. Apple Music lets you turn off the tile and Spotify doesn't force this feature. It's pretty inconvenient. Also, when CarPlay is active the tile comes on too and Pandora is NOT open in the background. you literally have to open the app then close it. I cancelled our previous Pandora family subscription and went to Spotify because i got frustrated with inadvertently fat fingering this and have my music blare at the worst time. There should be an option to not have the tile appear on the sleep screen. I use Pandora on my Sonos, watch, phone, and car. Stopping to deal with this each time is asking a lot.
