After trouble shooting further... We logged out and back into her account. On Android we went into phone SETTINGS And select APPS... Find Pandora and inside the app settings select STORAGE. Select CLEAR CACHE and then CLEAR DATA. Restarted the phone and now thumbs up (favoriting) is working.
